Jungkook was utterly snuggled into Taehyung, his body a warm weight against Taehyung's as they sprawled on the living room couch. The fever had finally subsided, leaving Jungkook feeling weak but much better.

They were watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, a cartoon Taehyung usually deemed childish, but Jungkook, with his feverish mind, seemed to find it strangely comforting. Jungkook, nestled against Taehyung's chest, sipped on his banana milk, the straw making a soft slurping sound. Taehyung, meanwhile, munched on a bowl of strawberries, the sweet juice dripping down his chin.

Taehyung sighed, rolling his eyes for the nth time. If Jungkook weren't sick, he would have smacked his head. This constant barrage of cartoons was starting to feel a bit much.

His bowl of strawberries was now empty, and he attempted to stand up, eager to get his eyes off the television screen for even a minute. But Jungkook whined, burying his face deeper into Taehyung's chest, his grip tightening around Taehyung's waist. Taehyung was speechless. This was the effect Jungkook had on him – a disarming combination of vulnerability and clinginess that rendered him completely helpless.

Jungkook was a picture of comfort in his oversized black hoodie, the hood pulled low over his head, obscuring half his face. He looked incredibly small and vulnerable, like a sleepy kitten. Taehyung couldn't help but smile. Jungkook, in that oversized hoodie, looked so incredibly adorable and squishy, he just wanted to squeeze him.

"I'll be back," Taehyung mumbled, feeling a flutter in his chest, the very one he was accustomed to. Jungkook pried his eyes away from the mesmerizing spectacle of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, his gaze meeting Taehyung's.

"No, I'm comfortable," Jungkook declared, his voice muffled against Taehyung's chest. "Don't move." It was a finality in his tone, leaving no room for argument.

"You're torturing me," Taehyung groaned, his voice laced with amusement. "How do you not get tired of this damn movie?"

Jungkook, however, seemed oblivious to Taehyung's complaints. He turned his head back to the television, completely absorbed in the animated mayhem unfolding on the screen.

"Okay, okay, I gotta go pee," Taehyung announced, his voice tinged with desperation. "I'm pressed."

"No," Jungkook whined, his grip tightening around Taehyung's waist.

"I'll get you another banana milk," Taehyung promised, a mischievous glint in his eyes.
Jungkook finally peeled his eyes away from the television, staring at Taehyung with a mixture of suspicion and longing. After a moment of intense scrutiny, he finally relented. "Fine," he grumbled, reluctantly untangling himself from Taehyung's hold.

Taehyung, seizing the opportunity, quickly scrambled to his feet, a triumphant grin spreading across his face. He scooped up the bowl of strawberries and Jungkook's empty milk can, and strode towards the kitchen. He rinsed the bowl thoroughly under the sink, then tossed the empty can into the trash bin.

He opened the refrigerator, the cool air washing over him. He grabbed a fresh carton of banana milk for Jungkook, then made his way back to the living room. Just as he reached, the doorbell chimed, a sharp, unexpected sound that startled them both.

"Who's that?" Jungkook asked, his voice muffled against the couch cushions.

"I'll check," Taehyung replied, handing Jungkook the milk. He walked towards the door, his curiosity piqued.

"Jimin-ah!" he exclaimed, a wide grin spreading across his face as he opened the door.

Jimin, his face flushed with a healthy glow, returned the greeting with a bright smile. "Hey, Tae! Hi, Jungkook." He stepped inside, dropping his backpack onto the floor with a soft thud.

"Chimchim?" Jungkook called out, his eyes widening in surprise.

"What happened to you two?" Jimin asked, his gaze flickering between the two of them.

" jungkook is sick—" Taehyung announced

Jimin moved towards the couch, gently rubbing Jungkook's back. "You good, Kookie? Took your meds?"

Jungkook nodded with a small smile, his eyes drooping. "Tae is doing his motherly duty," he mumbled, a small pout gracing his lips.

Taehyung rolled his eyes playfully. "Don't listen to him. He's just being dramatic."

"It was so boring not seeing you both at school today," Jimin lamented, sinking onto the couch beside Jungkook.

"Yeah, tell me about it," Jungkook murmured.

Jimin stayed with them for the rest of the evening, his presence a welcome distraction. He kept Jungkook company with lively chatter, regaling them with amusing tales from school, and even managed to coax a few weak laughs from the sick boy.

Finally, as the sun began to set, Jimin reluctantly bid them farewell, promising to visit the next day if the duo couldn't make it to school.

It was roughly 8 PM, the silence in the house broken only by the soft ticking of the clock on the nightstand. Jungkook was already sleeping soundly, the after-effects of the medication Taehyung had administered an hour ago finally taking hold.

Taehyung had spoken to Mrs. Jeon a few minutes ago, updating her on Jungkook's condition. He had assured her not to worry, explaining that Jungkook was on medication and sleeping peacefully. Mrs. Jeon had hung up after a brief exchange, her voice laced with concern for her son.

The stillness of the night was shattered by a series of soft sneezes, the sound echoing through the quiet room. Taehyung's eyes flutter open. Jungkook was shivering, his body trembling beneath the thin sheet.

He quickly swung his legs over the side of the bed, the cold floor a stark contrast to the warmth he had just left. He fumbled for the AC remote on the nightstand, finally locating it and switching off the unit with a sigh of relief. He then hurried to Jungkook's wardrobe, pulling out a thick, fluffy comforter. Gently, he pried the sheet away from Jungkook's shivering body and draped the comforter over him. Finally, he pulled the duvet up over both of them, creating a cocoon of warmth.

Although the comforter provided some relief, Jungkook continued to shiver, his teeth chattering slightly. It wasn't much, but it was better than nothing.

Taehyung, feeling pressed, decided to relieve himself in the bathroom. He quickly returned to the bed, slipping under the covers beside Jungkook.

"Tae, it's so cold..." Jungkook murmured, his voice hoarse.

"You'll be fine," Taehyung soothed, placing his palm against Jungkook's cheek. It was burning hot, "I turned off the AC."

"My head hurts," Jungkook mumbled, his voice muffled against the pillow. "I told you those pills wouldn't work."

"Come here," Taehyung murmured, pulling Jungkook closer. He wrapped his arms around the shivering boy, pulling him close to his own warm body. "Body heat," he explained, his breath warm against Jungkook's hair.

"Don't hold me responsible if you fall sick and start sneezing too," Jungkook mumbled into Taehyung's chest, a hint of a playful lilt in his voice.

"Shut up and sleep," Taehyung replied, a soft chuckle escaping his lips. He tightened his hold on Jungkook, enjoying the warmth of the older boy pressed against him.

A few minutes later, Taehyung heard the soft rhythmic snores emanating from Jungkook. The shivering had subsided slightly, though the younger boy still trembled occasionally.

Taehyung took a moment to simply observe Jungkook, his gaze lingering on the peaceful contours of his sleeping face. The long lashes that fanned out against his cheekbones, the delicate curve of his nose, the small pout that graced his lips, even the tiny mole beneath his lower lip – all these details were etched into Taehyung's memory. He watched him, mesmerized until sleep finally claimed him.
