Chapter 1: New Beginnings

It's ten years after the events of summer and Ivy is now sixteen years old. She lives alone in a broken down apartment far from the outskirts of town. However, she's no longer the innocent little fox she used to be.

As she wakes up from bed in her broken apartment, she looks at the mirror and chuckles to herself. She had forgotten to take off she jewelry she stole the previous day; a golden necklace with a diamond jewel at the center. Just by the look of it one could tell that it was worth millions.

However, Ivy didn't care about that. She didn't even remember how she stole it or why she did it. All she knew was the comfort of being sorrounded by precious possessions just like it. It made her feel special just like she did when Void was still around.

She spit out in disgust. Void. It's because of him she felt the way she did.

Meanwhile, in the city, a lot of wolves were gathering at the town square to listen to a speech being delivered by the Mayor.

"My fellow wolves it is with great joy that I ask for you to gather here." He paused and continued. " As you all know, the kingdom has been plagued by a notorious fox... Ivy." He took a moment to observe the look of anger and hate at the faces of the wolves gathered there.

"Everyone here must be aware of the crimes she has committed, the things she stole and continues to steal till this day-"

"I think we all get the point" said one wolf. "Yeah! If you were just gonna remind us of the bad things she's done , what's the joy then." Said another.

And with that order was broken in the meeting as wolves began grumbling about how bad the government, mostly the mayor had been in dealing with recent crimes and how they might soon need a change.

"Silence! All of you." Shouted the mayor as order was slowly brought back in the crowd of wolves. "Now as I was saying I am aware of all your problems and I believe I've found a solution." He paused again as the wolves became silent.

" Well out with it already"

" Fine then. Show them the results of our expiriment." He said to a wolf in a lab coat.

All of a sudden two wolves in special suits were brought out.

"These are the solutions, a couple of wolves"

"No. Not just any wolves. Wolves who have had their DNA mutated by Gaia crystals increasing their speed, strength and reflexes." Said the scientists as the two wolves showed of their powers to the public. The wolves gathered then began clapping.

Then something unexpected happened. The two wolves vanished into thin air. Everyone became puzzled. Some concluded it must be part of their abilities. Even the mayor wasn't sure what happened and the scientist didn't look two pleased.

Noticing everything that had happened, a wolf asked, "Is that supposed to happen". But no one was really sure what the answer was.

Even the mayor hesitated before saying yes. But even him was not assured.

Some distance away, Ivy had observed everything that happened using a pair of purple binoculars. "Special stones huh.... Well we all know that anything special belongs to me" And with that she began to scheme of a plan to get those crystals for herself.

As most things with the government of the kingdom, the Gaia stones were kept in a large building known as the Mecha organization. It was highly funded and approved by the government to carry out most of their work. So super power giving crystals should also be found in there.

So as Ivy began the long walk to the edge of the city, she couldn't help but think about void. "Maybe he was made of those crystals too. Maybe he was never real in the first place" she thought to herself. But deep down even she knew that wasn't true. The feelings, the emotions everything she felt for him came rushing back... Even the hate

As she finally reached the building, she walked right up to the guard. A very muscular wolf. "Hey no wolves after hours.... Hey aren't you that fox everyone's been complaining about?"

"Depends. Do you see a fox anymore?" She said just as the suit she wore turned her invisible. "Do you see anyone anymore" she said before letting out an evil laugh.

"Hey stay away" the wolf said in shock and then all of a sudden he was on the floor and the lights were off inside. "Guess that takes care of that problem" said Ivy before reaching into his pockets to grab some key cards. "Level 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. Your boss must really trust you. " She said before entering the building.

As she made her way through different levels in a room she made sure to take note of how many wolves were in the building and how low her battery was. If it went out completely, she would be caught and she knew it.

Ivy had stolen the suit a long time ago from the same building. However the work was a lot harder and she had some help. However she didn't have any help this time and she couldn't afford any mistakes.

After a long time dodging and escaping guards and other wolves that worked in the area, Ivy was finally in the place she had been looking for.

She looked all around the room and was in awe at the futuristic decor of the place. The room was filled with all kind of tech and right at the center was a huge reactor. But there were no special crystals. Ivy stood there confused. She had just gone around the entire building and found no crystals.... Unless. She took a closer look at the object she previously thought was a reactor and noticed it's shape which was similar to that of a crystal.

"This was it," she thought. There was nothing else left in the building and the battery of her suit was almost completely drained. There was no turning back.

As she slowly approached the crystal, she felt a surge of energy. And all of a sudden she blacked out.

When she finally woke up, she found herself in a strange room.  "Where am I" she asked drowsily.  "I see you're finally awake 7017."

"Huh who said that. Where am I!!?" She screamed.

"I am Number 001 and as for your second question. Your in Dimension 9 as a.... Volunteer for a very very special.... Expiriment"  Then a purple gas filled the room Ivy was in and then the voice began laughing.
