Pov Sage

I wake up in Meri's arms. We're in my room. Last night we finally managed to reach the top before falling asleep.

Meri's hair is completely messy which he hates. I think it's cute, but I'm not going to say that to him.

He just can't seem to wake up in the morning.

"Meri" I say and shake up and down a bit.

No reaction. Then just like this...

"Meri!!" I shout loudly in his ear.

"Ouch," he says in his morning voice and rubs his ear painfully.

"We have to go to school," I say, as he quietly nestles against me again.

"Five more minutes," he sighs tiredly and closes his eyes again.

I sigh. Maybe we can stay there for another five minutes. I close my eyes again. Meri makes a satisfied sound and pulls me towards her. Not much later I fall asleep again.

"Waking!" my mother shouts.

I shoot up. Meri rubs his eyes tiredly.

"Why aren't you at school yet? School has been in session for an hour!" my mother says in panic.

"Already an hour!" I say, completely awake.

She nods.

"You'll be gone in ten minutes, I'll make something to eat," she says and walks downstairs.

I get up quickly. Before I can fall asleep again, I pull him off the bed, causing him to fall to the floor with a thud.

"Ouch," he mumbles tiredly.

I chuckle and walk to my wardrobe. I quickly grab a pair of blue jeans, a black belly button sweater and a white and black striped blouse. I change quickly. In the meantime, Meri also strolled to the closet. I have a lot of Meri's clothes and Meri has a lot of mine in case we need different clothes when we are with the other person, like now. He also changes clothes. He puts on blue jeans, a dark blue Adidas sweater and a white cap. He puts the cap on backwards on his head, which looks nice on him. I walk to the bathroom. I quickly comb my hair and brush my teeth. Meri brushes his teeth. Yes, that is also here for a case like now.

I run down quickly and almost fall down the stairs, but Meri, who runs behind me, just catches me.

"You can't do much either, Sage," he laughs.

"Hey, I can do more than you," smile and go to the kitchen.

My mother quickly puts some food in our hands and then we go to Meri's car. I get in and Meri speeds away.

At school, Meri parks the car. I get out and want to run inside but Meri stops me.

"You can also just walk, we're already too late," he chuckles.

I sigh and give him his way this time too. We walk inside and go to the reporting point. The woman behind it looks at us with a wicked grin.

"Meri and Sage. Where do you come from?" she says.

"Her aunt passed away. Very tragic case," Meri says and nods convincingly.

I just play along and nod in mock pathetic ways.

"Okay, sorry girl. Just go to your class quickly," she says and immediately changes her mood.

I nod and Meri and I walk away.

As soon as we walk out of the auditorium we both burst out laughing. The fact that she fell for that was really the worst lie ever. Meri is also doubled over laughing.

"I'll see you later during the break," I just manage to say.

Meri chuckles and nods.

I walk to my classroom. Math. Grrr I hate that job. I knock on the door. I'm actually never late, but when I'm late, I'm very late. I open the door.

"Sage," the teacher says in surprise.

"Where do you come from?" he says with one of those mean teacher grins on his face.

Okay, the play continues...

"My aunt passed away. Called tragic," I say and fake sob.

The teacher seems to believe it. I'll just sit down quickly. The whole class knew it was a lie. I really can't lie, but the teacher seems to believe it. And that's the most important thing.
