Pov Sage

Meri just dropped me off at home. "Sage!" I hear my mother calling from the kitchen. I walk towards the kitchen. "How did your economics test go?" she asks. "Good," I say. "Great," she says and stirs the pan of tomato soup once. "Mom" I try. "Hmm" she responds. "I know I'm under house arrest, but could I go to the cinema with Meri later?" I ask. She looks at me doubtfully for a moment. "Good," she smiles." Yesss!" I shout happily and give her a hug. She chuckles. "I'm going to get ready upstairs," I say. She nods and focuses back on the food.

I walk up the stairs to my room. I'm not going to change clothes or anything. I'm just going to brush my tans and stuff. Well, I assume everyone knows how to brush their teeth, so I don't think I need to explain all that. I sit on the bed and start scrolling through Insta on my phone.

Meri climbs through the window. "It's me again" he chuckles and plops down next to me on the bed. I smile. "What movie are we going to anyway?" I ask. "Uhmm, I actually have no idea what's going on," Meri laughs. I start laughing too. "That's also useful," I manage to say. "I'm very handy," Meri laughs. "Tell that to a cat," I laugh. "Okay, but you don't have a cat," Meri says, chuckling. Wow... I shake my head laughing. "Shall we go Amar then? Otherwise we will miss the movie that we might want to watch," Meri says, doubting whether his sentence is correct. "Yes, you know that one movie," I say to tease him. He looks at me questioningly. "Which movie?" he asks. He doesn't mean that. I chuckle to myself as I continue to look at him. "Well I thought you were really talking about some kind of movie. But that expression says enough," Meri laughs. "What does this look say?" I chuckle and circle my face with my finger. "That you're lying," Meri chuckles. "You know me too well," I laugh and stand up.

I quickly grab my wallet from my bedside table and walk downstairs with Meri. "Heyy ma'am" says Meri. "Hi Meri. Which movie are you going to?" she says cheerfully. "A good one," Meri laughs and nods in mock convincing manner. I chuckle and poke him in the side. He looks a grin on his face. Oh oh that can't mean much good. "Bye mom" I smile and run outside. "Bye, ma'am," Meri says and runs out the door as well. "I'll get you little one," Meri shouts, grinning. I run to his car and hide behind it. Hopefully he didn't see me.

I feel 2 strong, warm hands on my hips. Meri. He laughs and picks me up and puts me in the car. I chuckle. "But just to be clear, 1.65 is very big, okay," I laugh. "What am I in your eyes?" he laughs as he gets in. "Inhumanly large," I say convincingly. He smiles. "I'm 1.80, not 6 meters," he laughs. "I know," I chuckle as soon as he drives away. He chuckles and turns on the radio. Moves like jagger is on radio. "Turn up!!" I shout happily through the car. Meri nods enthusiastically. This is our favorite song. Probably explains a lot about what's about to happen...

I immediately start singing along. Meri starts laughing and singing along too. For the record. The comment from Ed jury from Idols would probably have been that it sounded uglier than fake cat whining, but that's actually funny. I think as I sing along out of tune. Meri also sings along laughing.
