"Today we are gathered for the trial of Hwang Jihyo,she has been giving information from the Sila clan and giving it to the Qiang dynasty.Final verdict,death by poison"

This can't be,how can a husband send his own wife to death? He's the king,he can do what he wishes. He doesn't have to listen to any of his members of the board.

I stare at this scene in bewilderment, "Father, how can you do this?" I ask him as I just can't stand here and see the life drain out of my mother's eyes. There has to be something I can do.

What actual proof does he have of this 'betrayal'? His head is messed up for a while now and half of the time he doesn't know what the hell he's saying or doing.

"She was caught at the border, Hyunjin, talking to a man who was the treasury of that council,how can we let that slip?" He says as he's sitting down on his throne. I notice that his white hairs are starting to show.

He's being paranoid but to not even consult anyone about this too? I look around to see people's reactions,that's until I see her.

His concubine, the wicked one as he has many concubines but she's the one he favors. She's the one up to this plan,I almost bet it.

She has him wrapped around his finger and he'll do anything she says. I look around the room as even the council has even brought in their older children,well the ones that had one anyways.

"And how do you know what they were even talking about? Why don't we ask the people what they want? Because the council will go with what you tell them you want no questions asked." Not all of them but the small ones to go against him get silenced.

He's afraid of what the people are going to say and what they will think of him if they find out that he is killing his wife for talking to someone. Family even.

"Isn't that enough proof for you? Or do you want us to look at your actions?Or even better,join her. If you don't want to join your mother,shut your mouth"

"Jaymin,I was seeing a cousin,I've told you this before but do you ever fucking listen? And concubine Younghee, congratulations on finally baring a child,I wish the best of luck to you" Mother snaps angrily

"If she says that she has a cousin from the Qiang dynasty,then bring him here,say the name" I suggest but the king slams his palm down on the throne.

"Enough of this nonsense,Hwang Hyunjin, we will not consider this again,it is what it is. I said my final words and stop questioning my words now join your mother"

The council stays quiet as I take off my crown flinging it across the room kneeling down beside my mother. Them I take out the royal hair pins.

"I couldn't just watch you die out there" I whisper to her before a guard draws a sword down to my throat.

"Her Highness goes first and Lee Yongbok,don't leave this room, you have to get used to this son." The general barks as I look at the young man standing up as his dad motions for him to sit down where he once was.

Two guards go behind my mother as one has a vial of poison in their hand. I turn away my head as I see the blonde has such pain and sorrow in his eyes before he mouths to me

"I'm sorry there is nothing I can do about it,just look at me"

I hear her scream as I hear her thrashing around,I will hate my father for killing her until the day his heart stops. There's no use for it and I bet you that bitch from hell will become queen,I won't be calling her mother so he can get that out of his head now.
