"Hello, welcome to Sharon University, how may I help you, today?" A lady in the front desk greeted me as I walked into the office, a smile plastered on her face that was as fake as her breasts that laid on her chest. Ignoring the fact that the lady was plastic, I then walked up to the desk, dragging my two suitcases along side with me, then gently placed my hands on top on the desk, my two hands intertwined together and spoke softly, "Yes, my name is Damie Parker. I am new and I need both my schedule and dorm." She quickly typed in some things into the computer, this and that happened, and soon enough she handed me my schedule and dorm key with the room number engraved on to it.
After a while of searching and walking around, I found someone who was helpful enough to grab one of my suit cases and show me to my dorm. She came out of no where, grabbing my suitcase that was basically slipping right out of my hand but smack into hers. "Hi!" She exclaimed, a bit much for me but I gave her a sly smile and a small nod, continuing to walk along the pavement. "I'm Vanessa, most people around these dorms know who I am, mostly because I helped them get to their dorm in the first place." I looked back over at her, making eye contact for the first time and then smiled slightly, "Damie. Nice to meet you Vanessa." She gave me a small nod and then added, "Do you need help finding your dorm?" I kept my pace of walking and then responded with a desperate yes and heard a soft chuckle leave her lips as I faced the opposite direction of her.
Just a few minutes later Vanessa had showed me to my dorm, and I thanked her for everything she had helped me with. She had suggested that I come along with her and she'll show me around campus more but all I wanted to do was rest, so I took a rain check. My room was all the way down the hall and the last door to my left. I rolled my suitcases down that way, seeing that the door was already slightly open and walked inside, setting my belongings in the corner of the room. I took a quick look around and small that one half of the room was in the process of being decorated but nobody was here, that I could see. "Hello?" I questioned, and without a doubt, she appeared from the closet, which was surprisingly a lot larger than I expected for any dorm room closet to be. She wore black, scuffed up, black combat boots, with washed out denim jeans that were rolled up to just above the ankle to show off the boots more, and a oversized black t-shirt that exposed her very unique and impressive tattoos, that were painted all across her arms. Her hair was short and brown, I believe that called that haircut a pixie haircut. "Hi." She plainly said, grabbing another thing of clothes and going right back into the closet. I tilted my head slightly to her response, being a bit thrown back at how monotoned her reply was and then shook it off, thinking that it was probably nothing. I then grabbed my suitcases, placing them on the empty, vacant bed and opened one right up. "So, I'm Damie." I spoke out to the girl, taking out a bit of my own clothing and putting them on the hangers that I had brought for myself. There was no response from the girl, only more shuffling of clothes and what not. I then turned around, walking towards the closet until she had stopped me, dead in my tracks, "And what exactly are you doing?" It wasn't until now I realized she had an accent, an Australian one possibly. Her voice was low yet extremely smooth, but she was being aggressive with me and it was show in more than just her voice. "Putting my clothes in the closet." I simply stated, stepping forward once more, showing her that I was going to move past her. She rolled her eyes at me with annoyance and then commented, "I'm sorry but the closet is on my side. Looks like you're out of luck, sweet cheeks." Her comment took me back a little, did she actually think that she had the right to take the closet from me just because it was closer to her side than my own? "Hm, okay. I guess I'm just going to have to cross over your side from now, because I do need some where to hand these." I said, as I pointed to my clothing and pushed past her, grinning slightly as I did, putting my clothes on the side of the closet that had nothing placed on it yet and went back over to my things. Knowing that her stare was burning into the skin of my back but all I could was smile.
For about an hour or so there was pure silence in me and the girls dorm, it was almost unbearable, I had to get out so I did. I quickly grabbed my phone and wallet and headed out, on my way to the elevator I ran into Vanessa again. "Oh hey!" she cheered. She was filled with so much joy and excitement that it might just kill me. "Hi Vanessa." I replied, giving her soft smile and entering the elevator, pressing the number 1 floor. "How's everything in your dorm?" I only rolled my eyes to her question and she quickly took notice and chuckled softly, "who did you get stuck with?" I smiled slightly towards her and shrugged, "Never gave me her name. She has extremely short hair, dresses rather different from a normal young lady, filled with tattoos and has an accent." Immediately Vanessa's eyes widen and her hand was placed on my shoulder and she whispered, "Thats Ruby. She always ends up having the dorm to herself because her roommates move in with other friends just to avoid her." I raised my eyebrows slightly, shocked that someone would be driven away so easily by someone. "It's going to take a lot more to drive me away from my dorm than her." It felt as though Vanessa completely ignored my comment and continued on about Ruby. "She has a girlfriend, her name is Phoebe, she's on this campus as well but she's on the opposite side of these buildings for..certain reasons. But in the past she would always bring her over, let's just say there were a lot of complaints about noise on those night, and she didn't care if her roommate was there or not. I don't think it's going to be different this time around." The elevator then stopped, opening the doors and exposing a million other kids with suitcases, frantically trying to find there dorms and friends. Before leaving the elevator I spoke softly and sighed, "Seems as though Ruby is going to make things a lot more difficult for me."
