It was a beautiful, dark autumn night, The cold air kissed my rosy cheeks. I was strolling down the greenwich with groceries in both hands Admiring the halloween decorations. I love New York this time of year. The grocery store was up the street from Matthew's apartment. I listened to the fall leaves crunch with every step I took. I could hear kids giggling in the distance as they rang the doorbell before saying "trick-or-treat" The familiar apartment came into view after walking a good ten minutes. I walked up the step and into the apartment complex The apartment reminded me very much of breakfast and tiffanys. When i reached matthew's door i could hear his halloween music blaring threw the door I removed the key from the keyhole before twisting the doorknob Matthew didn't hear me come in he was busy humming along to thriller by michael jackson Airing up the air mattress for our movie night marathon I watched in awe until he turned around letting out a yell Touching the base of his neck his brows pulled together "babe, you scared me.. How long have you been there, stalker?" he questioned. I chuckled, he looked like a deer caught in the headlights "long enough to admire my pretty boy" I joked. His cheeks turned a shade of pink. Walking over he towered over me leaning down to plant a kiss on my head, he grabbed the grocery bags from my hands heading into the kitchen. "What are we baking tonight, pumpkin?" he murmured, unloading the groceries. Walking to his side "i bought halloween cookies that we can bake, i also found an editable halloween village that we can decorate, and some other sweet and salty snacks. Ooh and I bought pasta... oh and wine." I trailed off Matthew let out a laugh reaching for me "Someone is excited." He teased embracing me into his arms, resting his chin on the top of my head. "Heyy it's better to have a lot of options rather than none." I explained trying to defend my case, frowning. "Ooh, I know sweetness." he said softly into my ear before placing a kiss on my cheek. "Let's start baking" he cheered, grabbing the halloween cookies. "Bake, then cook?" I asked. "That's perfect baby" he replied with a dimpled grin, leaning towards me he pouted his lips indicating he wanted a kiss. I leaned in but once i was close enough i booped his nose with the brownie batter i was mixing, letting out a laugh i backed away "oops" i mumbled innocently going back to stir the batter. "You sure want to play this game?" he questioned letting out an evil chuckle. Making my eyes go big with realization i shook my head no trying to sneak away i turned my back ready to run, Matthew snaked his arm around my waist before I could even take off. "You will pay for that my love" he joked tickling my side with his free hand I bursted into a fit of laughter throwing my head back into his shoulder trying to say "okay okay" I couldn't finish my sentence. "nooo, i'm sorry" giggling "matth-" i could feel the tears roll down my cheeks from laughing so much, i could feel matthew's chest vibrate with laughter "what i can't quite understand you, babygirl" he teased tickling me some more "I'm sorry, I'm sorry baabyy stop please '' I laughed finally able to let out a full sentence. With that he let down, I wiped my tears away, my cheeks hurt from laughing so much. Matthew grabbed my wrist spinning me to face him he booped my nose back with the brownie mix... "ah, payback" he chuckled kissing my nose before kissing my lips. "Mmm brownies" I mumbled licking my lips pushing him away. A smile reached Matthew's hazel eyes "I love you" he grinned tilting his head. "I love you too amor" I smiled with glowing cheeks. I gave him another kiss before heading back to my mixing.
