I put on my headphones as I heard the front door open. I turn the volume all the way and wait for the night to end. Even with my headphones on full volume I could still hear their screaming. I was scared I didnt want to be here.

I hear a loud crash and I bring my knees to my chest rocking myself. I shake with fear. My door flings open and my eyes dart towards the man infront of me. I look at him with fear. He grabs me by the hair and drags me to my mother. I look over to her and there is a bloody mess on her from what seems a broken glass cup. My mom looks at me with fear and tries to pry me free from my father.

"m-mom" I said scared. I didn't want to be here.

"S-sweetie its going to b-be ok" my mom said with a shaky voice. My so call father lets go of me and goes towards my mother screaming at her. I tune everything out. After about 30 minutes he left to go to bed. I looked at my mother she was all bloody. I dragged her all the way to my room and bandage her. I looked at the clock and saw that i had school in two hours.

"I should hurry up and clean myself" I thought as I got up and clean my bloody body and throwing away my torn clothes I bandage my face and my legs and arms. I went to the kitchen as quietly as possible so my dad wouldnt wake up. It took me 10 minutes to clean everything up and 23 minutes to cook breakfast for all of us and lunch.I start walking out the door and I waited infrint of the train station waiting for Akira. As I waited I let the wind play with my hair, I did get a few stares from people, probably from all the bandages I have. I then see Akira running towards me.

"Yooooo Y/n Sorry for being late" akira says running towards me with bread in her mouth. I sigh, how is she capable of almost being late everyday and yet not miss the train.

"You better start getting up early or im not waiting for you next time" I said with no emtion in my voice nor eyes.

"Chill y/n, ANYWAYYY Are you excited for today!" Akira practically screamed in my ear. I look at her confused, was anything important today?

"What's today Akira?" I asked, she looked at me like I forgot the most important date ever.... She went digging through her school bag and flip open her phone and showed me her calender ... Well Google's calendar.

"TODAY WE FIND OUT WHO OUR SOULMATES IS" Akira said, literally stars radiating from her eyes. I look at her with boredom. I never really believed in soulmates especially with my umm... parents problem.

"I don't do that thing Akira you know that" I said, sighing once more. Akira is the only peron who truly knows what happens in my household.

"Oh y/n im sure ita gonna be different for i'm sure, I BET he's gonna be your knight in shiny armor" she said, all gooey with emotions, umm must I say she is a bit nerd about princess and prince and stuff like that, it fascinates her.

"Anyway HAVE YOU SEEN THE NEW DEMON SLAYER EPISODE I KNOW ITS ONLY SEASON 1 EPISODE 2 LIKE DAMN" again she pracitlly screams in my ear, by know the train has arrived and we entered and grab the nearest seats. I won't lie its really good, when Akira introduced it to me i got realy attached to it it really loved the main character. He the type i would love for my soulmate to be... If there is such thing. I never had a thing for characters but for him I felt bad when he lost his family and his sister turning into a demon it was so sad but exciting. As I come back from my daydreaming I snap back to life.

"Y/n! I've been calling you this is our stop lets go!" Akira says practically dragging me out. Yes I do tend to day dream a lot this days.

"S-sorry Akira" I said, when we arrive to school and found our classroom, we went in and found 2 free seat next to each other in the very back next to the windows.So we sat down and I chose the one with the window. As I sat down the teacher walk in. His name was Sensei Sota and he had brown hair and black eyes. Lots of my classmates simp on him but I dont get why....
