The annoying sound of one loud and persistent phone alarm could be heard ringing for what seemed like hours. It was morning and everything seemed to be going as it usually would. The air was cruelly colder than it would be throughout the day, the birds were chirping, the light was spilling through the blinds into the room... to much light. Wait there was also the sound of cars powering on, too much of them... and too many people talking as they walked by. Then it finally hit Sonny hard enough to have him not only wake up but sit up immediately.

'No..no, no, no..!' A panicked Sonny thought to himself first thing in the morning as he quickly turned to his nightstand to grab his phone, taking a moment of short pleasure in shutting of that annoying alarm, before revealing the time. He was a whole hour late to school. Right then and there, Sonny swear he felt like just exploding into thin air, a moment of silence taking place followed by him getting up and beginning to get ready super quickly. At this point he was moving like a machine, his functions purely based on muscle memory to what he did everyday but just 10x the speed. The only thing on his mind was just, 'I'm late,' or, 'NOOOOO.'

Sonny Brisko POV:

My fluffy, flowy strands of hair *totally not bragging here* swayed effortlessly as I rushed back and forth around the room in such a big effort. If only I could do things as easily. Weird comparison but a true one. In under five minutes, I managed to finish changing and so I grabbed my bags then reached for the door. But then came the hesitation. Father was probably outside the room... whether asleep or awake, he's probably in a worse condition then usual. And that would be due to none other than... 'My fault...' I thought to myself. It made me pause in my movements before a back up alarm rung on my phone to pull my out of it. With a shake of my head, I first shut off that imcredibly annoying alarm of course them turned around and did the rational thing to do. I snuck out through the window and jumped down midway of climbing down to make it look cool as if I jumped down from the beginning and landed perfectly. :D

Not wasting a second more, I began to run my way to the school. My training paid off for at least this much, I was nearly already there. I was running and running, the air being so cold that it felt like spikes piercing through my clothing. Then of course on the way there, the spiraling thoughts finally rolled in. 'How did this happen? I've never been late before... If I spent all night staying up was getting an hour of sleep even worth it! It was probably because something stupid like I was so tired yesterday as well that I let that jerk get away with the files.. that must've been it. Or else that would mean that I... I...—' Subconsciously avoiding that specific thought, my thoughts went in another loop. 'I really have never been this late... and of all the days for this to happen! I was going to show that ridiculous cat guy how a real student should act like.'

As I finally arrived on the campus grounds, I rushed through the halls, everything around me transparent except the door with my classroom number on it. I sighed in a frustrated manner, 'Well its not a big deal. After all, I'm late but he must be even later—' I opened the door only to be greeted with the sound of a thump before an, "Ow!"

My soul felt as if it had left my body behind. Loosing the files to the Phantom Thief, being lectured for hours by police officers all night long, waking up late and being an hour late to school, and now opening the classroom door only to accidentally hurt someone. This was neither the behavior of a good student or an officer, what was happening! The rest of the classroom immediately looked at me and with fear, I hesitantly looked down to see who it was.

'Please not the teacher, please not the teacher...'

I then noticed the cat ears and brown hair. It was the sources of all my newly brought problems at school, Alban Knox lying flat on his back. Though he was wearing glasses? Anyways, instantly my soul vacuumed right back into my body, more warmer than ever as a nice breeze of relief fell upon me.

"Oh, it's just you." I accidentally said out loud. This might have been the only good thing to happen today.

"Oww.. just me?!" Alban said as he held his nose with one hand, the other propping him to sit up.

"Well did I stutter? Yes just... y-you..!" As I caught onto the true meaning of my own words, I could feel the recovering wounds on my soul bursting right open again. This meant someone like him- well, THE Alban Knox student had made it to school before me. He was already settled in and everything by the looks of it and maybe he improved in that short time because what's with those glasses. Was he making friends already? Oh- and now he was close up to me.

"Hahah you just did!" Alban spouted back, not hesitantly throwing that comment I did earlier right back in my face. The worst part about it was that I didn't need to see the bottom half of his face to see that he had that foolish grin on. His eyes were practically wearing a grin themselves and he was proud of it for sure. There were about a bunch of things that could burst out of my mouth back at him but instead I just took the similar approach instead.

"What was that? I can't take you seriously when you're covering your nose like that and with those glasses. You look ridiculous." I replied, taking a step closer to show I wouldn't back down either. Something is familiar about approaching this guy like this, something that provokes me so much and yet I can't put my finger on it at all...

"W-whaat?! That's mean!.." He almost whined a bit as he mumbled that, uncovering his face to reveal his red nose from the hit. I just gave him a look where I didn't even need to say anymore to get the message across. Alban then shook his head a bit as if he was trying to get his thoughts prioritized once more. "Well then that really says something about you doesn't it? Cause cmon, I can't see nothing with these glasses but..." He took another step forward so fearless of how close our faces were to each other by now. "...at least, I didn't show up in my 'jamieeess~" He hummed with a smug smile on his face, his finger pointing down to my pants.

"What are you even s-" I looked down only to see I was still wearing my pajama pants. Yes, even thought yesterday was a hard night I didn't forget to change into pajamas, my body is almost made of muscle memory by now. That must've been the real reason as to how I was able to finish changing so fast this morning... I froze in that spot, the look of shock so painfully obvious on my face. What didn't help at all was the beginning of laughter I began to hear coming from the class.

'And of all the designs... beetroot design pajama pants, I hate you!!!' My thoughts yelled out in agony as I felt I was unable to move. I highly dislike beetroot so I wore it yesterday since yesterday sucked... but it ruined my life as it always did. I practically glared at my own pajama pants before my angered gaze turned up to Alban. "You..."

"I..? I, what? Oo I know, I think you have nice taste by the way~!" He chirped back mockingly.

It got to such a high point to where the only way we could possibly step closer would result in punching each other or tackling each other down. In fact, it was about to.

"ENOUUGHH!!"

Such a loud and powerful voice suddenly hit my ears, causing me to look at where it was coming from quick. It caused Alban to jump up before turning to it on high alert. I swear he actually reminded me of a cat, not even just to use it against him. Still, I'll do that. "Scaredy cat..?" I managed to mutter to him even in this situation. Both of our eyes never actually looked at the person stopping us because we didn't take our eyes off of each other it seems. That immediately got him riled up again and he scrunched up his nose a bit, "Youu..—!"

That reminded me of a cat even more when they get angry and they say RRREOOWWW. Anyways, that was a short lived moment as suddenly our focuses were forced away from us, down onto the floor.

There we saw ourselves levitating above the ground a lot actually. We looked at each other quickly before looking at just who was lifting us up like this.

It was a tall, muscular, magenta-hair colored man who looked terrifying now that we were close up to his face. And he looked pretty upset too...

The man tilted his head to the side before lifting us closer to his face so effortlessly just to say, "You guys... are goin to the principles office."

'Why does today hate me...'
