11. One Of A Kind

Late Evening

"I'm fine Lion honestly, thank you for caring" I cried
"You're welcome! Why did you come back for?" Lion asked
"I think you already know the answer to that question" I replied

Lion nodded his head, whilst walking towards the door, Lion exited the room.
Why was Lion so caring?
I wish Diego was more like him, he's arrogant but kind at the same time.
How else do you describe him?
I exited the bedroom, I walked downstairs, I headed towards the library.
At last, I found it. I was amazed at the amount of books in here.

I scanned the room, looking for a book, where do I start first?
As I grab a book, a sheet of paper flies out, I pick it up.
It's a background check on me, why would he do one on me for? I'm not a bad person.
I scan through the page, I noticed something very odd, it don't have my parents names on it. What the hell is going on?
Unexpectedly, I hear the door shut, it was Diego entering the room.

"What you got there?" Diego asked
"It's the background check, you done on me, it flew out of a book" I explain
Diego looks at the page, scans through it, Diego raises an eyebrow.
"It don't say my birth parents on there, is it meant to?" I asked
"Yes, it's meant too" Diego cried
"Why don't it then?" I asked

I was so confused right now, I didn't let Diego's sex life ruin my day, I decided to let it go. I like him a lot, but Diego is single, he can do what he likes. I'm not going to stop him. I've decided to just focus on myself.

"Tell me Diego, what are you hiding?" I asked
Diego looked at me, then looked at the sheet of paper, Diego took a deep breath.
"Do you know why your mum hated you so much?" Diego asked
My heart began to pound, tears started to form in my eyes, I felt heart broken already. Yet, Diego hasn't said anything.
"No, why?" I asked
"She's not your real mum" Diego cried

I sat down, the thought of my Mum still out there, was driving me wild.
I thought back to when Lion was caring for me upstairs, do not say Lion is my brother, I've heard enough lies for one day.
"Then who is?" I asked
Lion entered the room, the room went silent, what the fuck is going on?
"A lady called Lillian Blackmore" Diego replied

Ive never heard of a Lillian Blackmore, in my life. Who is she? I want to know more. My whole life is a fucking lie!
"So who's Lillian Blackmore?" I asked
"My mum" Lion cried
Lion is my brother? No fucking way! So why did Diego threaten me, if Lion is my brother?
"Why was I abandoned?" I asked
"You wasn't. My mum was getting followed by the Italian mafia, she didn't want no harm caused to you. She placed you outside your adoptive Mum's house" Lion said

"I didn't know who you were, until a few days ago" Diego cried
"So what's my real name?" I asked
"Violet-Rose Blackmore" Lion cried
"Why Violet?" I asked
"You inherited purple eyes, you got given a gift too" Lion cried
"I haven't got purple eyes, I've got blue" I replied
"When you get emotional, they change color" Lion replied

I walked over to the mirror, I looked into it, I thought of all the times, my mum used to call me names. I thought about how Diego was fucking somebody else, or how Lion cared for me.
I looked up, my eyes turned purple, oh my god! No wonder l felt like an outcast, I didn't belong there anymore. Now, I know why.
I turned around, whilst looking both at Diego and Lion, I took some time to collect my thoughts.

"What's my gift?" I asked
"You can control the 4 elements. Fire, Earth, Water & Air. You can also control Ice, as well as; the snow, thundering & lightening" Lion cried
"I've never been taught" I added
"You'll be starting first thing tomorrow" Lion cried
"Do you have them too?" I asked
"No, you're the lucky one" Lion replied
"Who's the oldest?" I asked
"Me" Lion replied

I start to think of Riccardo, he was my older brother. Did he know about any of this?
Why didn't he tell me? I feel so betrayed right now, I'm so shocked about all of this.

"Where was I born?" I asked
"Born in Spain, but you was raised in Italy" Lion added

Now, I know why Diego called me Beauty. It was because of my purple eyes, I must admit they were beautiful. I've never noticed them,
Riccardo must've noticed them, that's why my adoptive mum hated me. She was jealous because I had a gift, as well as, me being Spanish, she didn't like me.

"What's your real name Lion?" I asked
"Santiago Blackmore, but everybody calls me lion. Ever since, I've learnt how to do combat, I was the fierce one, so people have called me lion ever since" lion added
"Are you married or anything?" I added
"I do have a wife, her name is Angela" lion cried

"This is a lot for you to take in, I'll leave you to it. See you in the morning" Lion cried
"See you" I replied
"Are you ok?" Diego added
"That's why you call me beauty, because of my purple eyes?" I asked
"Yes" Diego cried
"So why did you threaten to shoot me?" I asked
"As I said, I didn't know who you were until a few days ago, I searched for your name. But there was no Maria, or Anastasia in the system. The only details what matched your name was Violet-Rose" Diego explained
"You thought I was an Italian?" I asked
"Yes, I did. I didn't realise you were Spanish, I didn't know you were Lion's sister. Which makes you important to us" Diego explained
"Am I important to you?" I asked
"I think you already know the answer to that beauty"...
