Kavya felt dizzy as her eyes scrunched and hand went up to her head. A groan left her mouth as she finally opened her eyes, her vision being blurry and white spots appearing to her. Her hand did not leave her head as she slowly got up and sat on the bed contemplating how why got here, and regaining some of her lost senses. She looked around to see the well decorated room, giving the same look almost every room in Hastinapur gave.

Finally she had recollected what had happened last night as a scream of frustration and anger left her throat. Angry on herself for letting her guard down and frustrated for being stuck in such a situation. Kavya finally got up from the bed as she looked around, trying to look for something to protect her from the vile person who did this to her.

And that's when her gaze fell on swords hanging on the wall as a piece of decoration. She ran towards it and was about to pull one out when an arrow came and and struck the pillar. Scared and confused Kavya looked back to see a drunk Ashwatthama. He was not walking straight yet his aim was almost perfect.

He must have been aiming for her hand and it scared her to see what this man could do even while being drunk. She took a slow step back, her mind and soul frightened, fingers shaking and eyes trembling. Her heart was beating abnormally, making her hear her own heartbeat. Her breath had almost stopped and her throat had gone dry.

She wanted to shove aside her fear and replace it with confidence but at that moment she couldn't find even an ounce of confidence in her. She wasn't able to move anymore, mortified in her place, breathing heavily, silently waiting for Ashwatthama's next move.

She saw him move towards her, taking slow steps with a sly smirk on his face, taking joy in the fear he had instilled in Kavya. It disgusted Kavya, to see how cheap a man can be and how men always disrespect women. She was sure today her respect would be snatched away from her. No matter how much she wanted to move she was not able to and he was finally in front of her. His face mere inches apart.

Kavya didn't know what had happened but something in her had instilled courage in her as she slapped Ashwatthama right on his cheek. Being drunk and not anticipating such a move from Kavya he fell back, his bow leaving his hand. And Kavya took this moment to her advantage as she ran towards the door and was about to escape when she saw two soldiers close the door.

Kavya halted, a scream of pain and horror leaving her throat as she fell down and saw an rageful Ashwatthama approaching her. A tear rolled down her eyes as she closed her eyes, waiting for the worst. She could hear every step taken towards her when she suddenly heard the door burst open.

Her teary eyes fluttered open at that sound as she saw Dusshasan running in. She didn't know much of the rest of it. All she saw were a few punches thrown towards Ashwatthama before she passed out again.

Kavya finally opened her eyes as she frantically looked around trying to find Ashwatthama. Not finding him, she was about to run away when she heard a voice call her out.

Kavya halted and turned around to see Dusshasan standing there, holding a copper glass in his hand and a worried look on his face. "Do not be scared please." He said, sorrow and apology lacing his voice.

Kavya, whose body was trembling and mind was frantic had finally calmed down. She couldn't really look straight into Dusshasan's eyes but she could feel the emotions he wanted to convey by his voice. "Let me go, please." She requested, wanting to get out of there no matter what. After all, he was Dusshasan, Duryodhan's brother.

"I am truly sorry for his behaviour." He took a step towards Kavya but soon halted seeing the frightened girl step backwards with trembling hands. "Please forgive us Kavya, please." He said softly as he sat on the bed and passed a small towards her.
