I ran into the darkness of the night. The screams and shouts were muffled by the thick fog that surrounded the area like a white blanket. As I ran past the woods in the forest, the thick foliage and weeds felt like arms reaching out to my feet, binding my escape.

"Am I going to die here?" I thought as I finally stumbled into an overgrown root that suddenly appeared while traversing my invisible path.

They're coming. I hear their footsteps. I can see the monsters I created in my head chase me. I see despair, anxiety, fear, and depression creep into the silence of the night, with hope nowhere to be seen. I finally succumbed to their arms and waited for them to strike me as I fought for my life and struggled on my feet to run away as far as my feet would take me.
