Friday October 8th
As I wake up I finally feel happy. The past couple of days have been hell. I've been tired and stressed ever since I ran away from him. I couldn't face him. Not after what he said. I know it shouldn't have gotten to me like it did but I couldn't help it. He was my best friend, my first friend, the first person to ever get me but now that's all over.
I had told Seb that I couldn't do the interview but I had someone he might like to interview more. Arya. Those two are absolutely made for each other. The way they talk and giggle as if no one else is important. They get lost in each other. Too bad they're both too blind to see it.
I've been trying to look towards the future. More specifically tonight. The first game of the season. While it was a big deal, next week's game was bigger. The first home game of the season. Our Homecoming. But lets not get ahead of ourselves I needed to focus on tonight. I was finally going to be able to let go tonight and dance.
I got dressed and packed my cheer uniform in my bag. We decided that after school, Naomi, Arya, Imani, and me would go over to Arya's house to get ready then come back to the school and get on the away bus.
I had asked my dad to drive me so I wouldn't have to leave my car at school. I was hoping Issac would drive me but he's been avoiding me ever since Tuesday. I think it's because hes been running for homecoming king. In our school Seniors sign up the week before homecoming and that Friday the rest of the seniors vote on who they want to be on the court. The Monday after the 5 people with the most votes will be revealed as the court, they will pick their court partners and then another vote happens. That vote will determine the King and his Queen.
As I drive with my father I get a text from the girls explaining that they won't be meeting me in the front today. That's weird. As I walk into school I see Elijah and sebbiepoo in a little tussle by the lockers. They are yelling and hollaring at the top of their lungs. I guess today is going to be a long day.
2:00 PM
As I walk out of school I am relieved. I've barely seen my girls all day they have been making excuses for why they couldn't see me. It's been a boring day but i'm excited to finally chill out and get ready for today's game. I haven't seen Elijah since earlier when he had that fight with sebbiebooboo bear. I began to wonder what it was about when I hear a loud BEEP.
"Get in loser, we're going shopping." Naomi exclaims from the drivers seat. I laugh and hop in the back seat. It's a white Mercedes-Benz g wagon. As we drive I look around at everything, the scenery is beautiful. I see my favorite spots.
Like The Freeze which is a small restaurant with white bricks and a red top. On top of the building there's a big blue sign with a vanilla ice cream cone. It has thick white writing that says "The Freeze." They sell a bunch of different sweet treats. Down the street and around the corner we get to the shopping centers. It's basically a bunch of small houses with little signs on the outside. There's my favorite Tipp's, which is a vintage clothing store run by two sweet old ladies. Whenever you come in, they immediately speak with you and tell you stories from their lives, how they met, their marriage, everything. My favorite is the story about their son, who the store is named after. He was only 17 when he passed, and it made me appreciate life.
"You guys wanna stop at Hipno?" Noami asks."We have a lot of time left, "
We all agree as she parks the car. Hipno is a smoothie shop. As we order, I get a call from Issac. I step outside to take it.
"Hello?" I answer
"Hey honey, I wanted to make sure you were coming to tonight's game." He says nervously.
