12. Training

Morning

I woke up to the sun beaming through my bedroom window, it was the day to start practicing my magic, I was a little nervous.
Diego was laid next to me, eyes closed, he looked peaceful.
I got out of bed, I walked towards the bathroom, I ran myself a hot bath to try and clear my mind.

Suddenly, I felt breathing behind me, I turned around slowly.
It was Diego, I must have woken him up, to the sound of running water.
I tilted my head onto his chest, I close my eyes, taking in his warmth.
I turn around, look into his eyes, for once in my life, I felt like I belonged.

"Sorry, did I wake you?" I asked
"No beauty, call me when you're done in the bathroom please. I need a shower" Diego replied
"No worries" I responded
"Oh. Another thing, the Italian mafia is planning an attack on us. I'm just warning you" Diego answered
Diego left the bathroom, planning an attack. Why would they want to?
I bet it's because of me, my brother Riccardo is going to be there, how am I going to pull the trigger on him?
I need to sort this out, I need them to make peace with the Spanish mafia, there needs to be.

I turned the tap off, I got undressed, I slid myself into the bath tub. How am I going to persuade Riccardo, to make peace? That's going to be like talking to a brick wall. Why does there need to be war? Why can't we all get along?

-10 minutes later-

I got out of the bath tub; I dried myself off, got dressed, as well as, brushed my teeth.
"I'm finished in the bath Diego" I called
Diego came into the bathroom, I looked at him, whilst taking a deep breath.
"Diego? Can I ask you a question?" I asked
"Yes, Beauty" Diego cried
"Can I go to Italy, and try and persuade Riccardo to make peace with the Spanish mafia?" I asked

Diego looked at me like I was mental, I want to try and make peace, there has to be another way.
"You really think that Riccardo is going to make peace?" Diego asked
"It's worth a shot Diego, what other choice do we have?" I asked
"Firstly, there is no "we". Secondly, this war is happening. If you go to Italy, don't come back here" Diego replied

What was wrong with him? Clearly, he wants this war to happen. Why does there have to be war, all the time?
I thought we was in this together, clearly not, I know where I stand now.
"You're telling me not to come back, but you're the one who kidnapped me" I responded
Diego's facial expression changed, he went from happy, to angry in a matter of seconds. His arms were crossed, he was frowning, his breathing became heavier.

I began to brush my hair, as well as, I went to put my shoes on when-
Diego strode back into the bedroom, he stood in front of me, still looking pissed off.
Here we go again, I thought rolling my eyes.
"Personally, you shouldn't be getting involved in this war, it don't concern you" Diego cried
"Firstly, I'm Lion's sister, of course I'm involved in this" I answered
"I think Lion is quite capable, of looking after himself" Diego laughed
"I thought we would be stood next to each other, as a couple. I fight, you fight" I explained

"We're not together beauty" Diego replied
"If we're not together, stop keep calling me that" I replied
I walked out of the bedroom, before I could, Diego grabbed me.
He placed me onto the bed, in a dominating position, the desire in his eyes lured me in.
The growing passion inside of us was burning more than ever, it was something we both couldn't contain.

My breathing became heavier, I began to fall into his intoxicating trap, Diego went to kiss me when-
We heard a knock on the bedroom door, Diego got up shaking his head, as well as rolling his eyes.
He wanted this moment to happen, if he didn't like me, why would he want it to happen?
He's very confusing, he gives me mixed signals, then we bicker, we go round and round in circles.

Diego opened the door, it was Lion, I sat up on the bed. Lion looked at me, then looked at Diego.
"Did I interrupt anything?" Lion asked
"No Lion, I was just coming to find you" I replied
"Can I help you Lion?" Diego asked
"We're having problems with the shipments, one of them is being messed with boss" Lion replied
"Those fucking Italians!" Diego shouted
"Jerome & Deonte are down there" Lion replied
"I'll be down in 5, start beauty on her training" Diego cried

Lion nodded, I strode towards the door, we both walked to the garden. Not just any garden, but a field away from the mansion. The field was blooming with daffodils, daisies, and tulips.
Lion stood in front of me, took a deep breath, then cleared his throat.
"Clear your mind" Lion cried
I began to clear my mind, I took control of my breathing, as well as, thinking about what sort of element I wanted.

I started to think about fire, because my adoptive mum was horrible to me, I didn't feel like I belonged there anymore.
I opened my eyes, I was controlling fire, I felt shocked, I never thought I could do this.
"Violet-Rose, tap into water" Lion replied
With water, I felt all my emotions all at once, I felt my emotions have spiraled out of control.
"Violet-Rose, tap into earth" Lion called
I began to sway my arms, I felt like I was dancing, I began to grow flowers; leafs were circling around me.

"Violet-Rose, tap into air" Lion called
While I was concentrating, I felt like I was trying to control a tornado, it was very powerful.
I then, controlled lightning, but I was screaming with it.
I guess I was screaming, because the amount of pain I have felt, I gave it my all.
I created thunder, with every name being thrown at me, every ounce of jealousy, every argument, built up inside of me.
I become the queen of magic that day, I was more powerful than anyone, I was a sorceress.

I wouldn't betray magic, I made a promise to myself, I would only use magic if I needed to.
That's a promise, I will keep...
