Me and Hannah are driving to our dorm after we got lunch. "April you really need to get out there!! It's been 3 months since Matthew!" I know she wants me to get out there and I want to, but I'm just not ready yet. She doesn't know everything that happened between us. "Maybe Hannah," I say so she drops it.

I can't believe I get to live in Florida. Florida is just such a pretty state. My college is a walk away from the beach, and I live on campus. Somehow Hannah and I got the same dorm room. Thank god. Right now everyone knows me as the girl Matthew Turner broke up with and I don't want to be pitied by people I've never met.

We make it to our dorm and realize how small it actually is. "How are we gonna fit everything in here?" Hannah asks while looking around. "I really don't know." I start unpacking and find a picture frame I didn't realize that I brought with me. I throw it away before Hannah see's it. I can't believe I brought a picture of me and Matthew with me to college.

We just got in our dorm 2 days ago and are trying to unpack all of our stuff and figure out how we're going to cram everything we brought with us into our dorm. Hannah thinks it's a good idea for me to get out, so we're going to a party tomorrow with her boyfriend. I don't want to go, but I know I'll end up having a good time if I just listen to her and go. "April, are you almost done unpacking? I'm bored of sitting in here doing nothing," Hannah yells from the bathroom. "Yes Hannah I'm done," I reply back. She wants to go shopping so I can get a nice dress for this party tomorrow but I'm not all that excited about it. I know that Hannah just wants what's best for me, and to move on from Matthew, but sometimes she gets annoying.

We go to the mall, and we get there before Jamie and his friend. We have a hair appointment at a place inside the mall. Hannah's getting more highlights in her hair, but I'm just getting layers. My hair goes past my butt, so I decided at the last minute to cut it to the mid back area, with layers. I look at it and it's the best thing I have ever done. After Hannah gets some more highlights in her hair we decide to keep walking around the mall. "April please go to the party tomorrow, I know you don't want to go, but please go with me. The football team is hosting it so I have to go. I want to have my best friend there so I'm not just hanging out with Jamie." I think about what Hannah says. I know she means it because she's told me about how the party went last year. She sat with Jamie the whole time and didn't have any fun because she knew no one except for Jamie. "Hannah, of course I'll go with you." Hannah smiles ear to ear and hugs me tight saying thank you a hundred times. We continue to walk around the food court of the mall, but end up just getting starbucks since we're supposed to be getting something with Jamie and his friend. I don't want to put Hannah through that again, even if she knows the football team this year, i know she would enjoy it more if she had a friend there.
