Riding a horse in the desert, I look in every direction as I have no idea where to go. I've been doing this for weeks, maybe months, as I ran away from this group of creatures chasing me, which bears the name "Fear." They have a very scary power, one that makes you look into their eyes, and you can see someone you love die, an achievement you accomplished vanish, and a goal you've worked for turn into dust.
So far, I've only looked at three of these creatures, but I can see hundreds, if not thousands, of them group collectively into a huge mass, looking like black ink dying the desert's white sand into black.
"Can I escape?" I ask myself as the creatures I abhor arise on the horizon

"Sir, the drafts have been sent to your email. Please check them out", Martha said as she placed my coffee on the table. "And your coffee, just like you wanted them"
Martha has long been promoted as my secretary instead of being an intern fighting for a position in the studio.
"Miss President, where is she?" I asked Martha as she approached the door to leave. "She called in sick. Said she could not make it because of a severe headache"
"Well, she better show me a recent receipt of headache medicine, or she'll receive more when she comes back. You may go, thank you," I told Martha, and I saw her nodding before closing the door to my office.
It's been two months, and the 24 interns we had back then are now 20, making them part of the team. If they decide to accept the contracts, HR will dish them out next week. None of them knows that, so you better shut your mouth and let HR do their job.
—
"Micah, did you take your medicine? Your migraine came back just recently. Anything stressing you out lately?"
"Nothing to worry about, Dad. I got it under control. And besides, you've done enough for me; let me take care of things on my own", Micah said as she fixed her bangs. "I'll be back to work tomorrow, so you better listen to Mom and take your medicine, too. I'll drop by Dr. Alejandro to get my medical certificate. Bye!" Micah took her car keys, went out the door, and disappeared from view.
"Honey, stop worrying about her. She's all grown up. Let her be." As she handed him a glass of water, Alison, Micah's mom, told Brent, her husband, "She'll be fine. I'm sure of it".
"Well, she better be, or I'll skin that brat she works under." Brent laughed and then placed the now-empty glass on the coffee table. "Thanks, Ma."—
Micah is now working under Susan, and her experiences as the Intern President have earned her quite a few skills and merits, making Susan very happy about HR's decision for the crybaby."She's all grown up now. Meh, she's still a crybaby," I told myself as I saw Micah discuss the draft on a whiteboard while Susan looked at her like a toad lusting for a swan.
"Here he is, our COO," Rick said as he walked across the hallway. "You've been staring at Micah for quite some time now. What evil scheme are you concocting this time, my friend?"
"Nothing, Rick. I find it annoying that she passed the internship. Now, I have to tell her why I gave her the championship a few years ago"
"Oh, dude, you're on your own there. I appreciate what you did for us, the studio, but we came before you and Aether later. You two already laid the foundations for us when we came in and joined back," Rick said as he sipped from a new SB cup.
"I know. And hey, that smells like genuine coffee from Starbucks. When did the store re-opened?" I asked Rick as he pulled away and stopped me from getting a sip.
"Hey, hey! Buy your own, you shameless nerd! I bought this one on the way here. The Starbucks across the street opened yesterday since the "mouse" incident was clearly an evil ploy, as per the police investigation," Rick said begrudgingly, holding on to the cup much tighter as I kept getting it from his hands.
Ultimately, we had to call a janitor to clean up the mess we two made, and Rick had to call in for delivery.

"Ms Micah, are the drafts you and Susan made final? We have to let our clients know that even though we work quickly, we can still deliver quality work from our studio," Aether said as she looked into Micah, who has decided to stay and accept the job offer for a position under Susan.
"Yes, Aether. The drafts and the final design to be used in the movie Silver Man have been basically approved and ready. We need your green light and that idi- ahem, our COO." Micah said, adjusting her glasses. "As for the final props, we have decided to outsource for the meantime while Legal is currently working on our expansion"
Yes, people, you heard it. Our Studio is now officially entering Hollywood! Aether and I decided it was time to broaden our horizons a little, and we have decided to let go of just designing logos and editing movies and audio tracks to a much wider world. This is actually the reason behind the additional 20 interns.

As I galloped across the desert, I turned around and saw "Fear" chasing me relentlessly. I was tired, and my horse was tired, but in my eyes, a burning fire made me keep going.
"I can do this!"
Suddenly, a golden armor covered me, as I didn't noticed a projectile thrown at me by one of the creatures.
"What just happened?!"
