I hated being the new kid in school. I was happy I found a seat in the back of the room. As I was sitting down she caught my attention. Maybe it was the way she said “hi”. But she really didn’t say hi, at least not with her mouth. The first thing I noticed about her was her eyes, they weren’t big but not small or normal. They were bright, but so dark they looked black. She was smiling at me but I didn’t respond. Instead I laid my head down and stared at her. I guess she thought I was sleeping because she put her hand in my face. I had to think quickly so when she was pulling her hand away I grabbed and kissed it. I didn’t realize I did it until after. I felt myself smiling and she smiled too. I had no clue at the time but I was going to be staring into those eyes for the rest of my life.
