Three empty chairs sat at the council of five. It had always been the case since the very founding of BlackHeart as a cult. The High Priestess had only found one servant of enough value to join the table, and that was Greiger, a strange man in both strength and abilities,

"More tea, Greiger?" The High Priestess asked, gesturing to the boiling pot of cyanide tea,

"Of course, mistress," Greiger answered, graciously accepting the cup,

"You seem troubled," she said indifferently, "care to tell me,"

"No emotion slips your notice," Greiger answered, "I am merely doubtful of the strength of the three you selected. Would it not be more prudent to select some of our finest warriors to lead?"

"I appreciate your concern, but the plans are already in place. Anyway, with you by my side, defeating our foes should not be a problem, don't you agree?"

"High Priestess, my power may be great, but even I might have a problem facing them," Greiger replied,

"Your motivation is strong, Greiger," the High Priestess answered, "I place no uncertainty on your ability to take revenge on the person who wronged you,"

Greiger downed another tea before performing the customary bow of the BlackHeart. He left the room without another word, the heavy sound of his footfalls echoing in the nearly empty room. He strode down the street, his physique attracting some stares, but nothing out of the ordinary,

"Greiger," a man nodded, walking next to the big man, "my name is Simon, and it is very nice to meet you,"

Greiger took the man's outstretched hand, noting his malnourished appearance,

"Let's get some pizza," Greiger offered, "on me,"

The two sat down in a crummy 99c per slice joint, Greiger purchasing a high calorie slice for his charge. Simon went on to give the cultist a run-down on his backstory, something Greiger seemed unimpressed by,

"I'm here to ask you for a favour," Simon said, "I want you to help us stop the cult you've been working with. Your service record is undeniably one of the best in history, and you will find that the Superhuman Containment Division pays extremely well,"

Greiger crossed his massive arms, a look of curiosity barely masking his fury. Simon did not feel threatened, as this fury was evidently not directed at him,

"I thank you for the offer, Simon," Greiger said calmly, "I would have been glad to take you up on this, but I have a problem with one of your members,"

Simon was taken aback by the simplicity of the chore. Remove some low-ranked agent that Greiger had beef with, and they had a verified superspy on their team,

"What's their name?" Simon asked, "I'm sure we can work something out,"

"You won't be able to fire him," Greiger replied, "Zavant, or should I say Noctum Prime. His variant from this timeline has committed unspeakable acts against me and my family. That is the reason that I am with BlackHeart in the first place, and the reason that I will kindly ask you to drop this spy business,"

"I won't push the matter any further," Simon stated, standing up and walking away from the table,

"Good choice," Greiger replied, "the fact that you're not asking me about my knowledge of timelines shows me that you are doing a lot to try and gain my trust,"
