Harry, Ginny, Ron and Hermione exit the Hogwarts Express and move quickly through the crowd of students to the carriages that took them to the castle. As they walk towards the carriages, Harry stops and stares at the carriage.
There stood a large reptilian, horse-like creature harnessed to the front whereas always before there was nothing. "What is that?" Harry mutters. Ron follows his line of sight. "What?"
He points at the creature. "That...that thing!" Ron takes a minute to stare, then looks at Harry. "Harry, there's nothing there mate..."
"Yes it is! It's right there!" He points once more to which Ron shakes his head. "I see them too, Harry." Harry turns to her. Luna Lovegood, the spacy-looking girl, yet pretty in her own right. "Erm...you are?"
"Luna. Luna Lovegood."
"Well, thanks Luna." They climb into the carriage, Luna following as it starts move.

"I beg a few moments of your attention, as I have a few start of term announcements. Right off, our caretaker, the good Mr. Filch, has reminded me for what he says is the four-hundred and sixty-second time that had an annually updated list of various banned item, usually introduced be our humour experts Fred and George Weasley..."
They both stand up, bowing. "which are posted in an extensive list on the door to Mr. Filch's door."
"Also we have two staffing changes this year. Professor Grubby-Plank will be taking the post of Care of Magical creatures post as Professor Hagrid is on...extended leave." The Trio give each other confused glances.
"Additionally, we have Professor Umbridge who has kindly agreed to fill the post of Defense Against the Dark Arts-" A woman dressed in all pink stands up from the staff table. She clears her throat, "Headmaster, if I could address the school?"
Though he seemed taken aback, he sits back into his seats, inviting Umbridge forward. "Thank you, Headmaster. Now, how are we all doing tonight? I thought I might just say a few words. I am here at the Ministry of Magic's bequest, under Educational decree twenty-two, which states that if the Headmaster of Hogwarts is unable to fill any teaching post the Ministry shall select one for the position." A murmur spreads throughout the students.
"The Ministry has always considered the magical education of our children to be of vital importance, and the passing down of this ancient and noble art must be given to the next generation, lest it be lost forever..." She pauses.
"Without progress, stagnation. But progress for progress's sake is to be discouraged, for our art requires no tinkering."
"A balance must be attained, the new and the old, permanence and change, tradition and innovation, order and chaos."
"There are large changes coming soon, changes walking the fine line between order and chaos. Know only that these changes are for the best, and to prevent the destruction of our civilization from it's decay. Thank you."
Umbridge smiles at everyone, but to Harry, the smile seems a little forced.

Danyi, with her characteristic air of confidence, was engrossed in a book as Harry approached. She looked up, meeting his gaze with an unreadable expression.
"Harry," she greeted, her tone neutral but with a hint of acknowledgment.
"Kim," Harry replied, a mix of curiosity and caution in his voice. "It's been a while."
Danyi closed her book, her eyes searching Harry's face. "Indeed. A lot has happened since the Tri-Wizard Tournament."
Harry nodded, the memories of their secret alliance lingering between them. "I wanted to thank you again for your help. I wouldn't have made it through without you."
Danyi waved off his gratitude, a small smirk playing on her lips. "Survival is a skill, Potter. You did well to listen."
Their conversation was careful, as though each word carried the weight of the secrets they shared. Despite the passage of time, the unspoken understanding between them remained intact.
As the conversation continued, the topic subtly shifted to the challenges of the upcoming year. Danyi, ever observant, noted the changes in Harry—both in his demeanor and the way he carried himself. They spoke in veiled language, dancing around the unspoken truth of their alliance during the Tri-Wizard Tournament.
Just as they were about to part ways, Danyi paused and looked at Harry with an intensity that caught him off guard. "Potter, remember this: secrets have a way of unraveling. Be careful who you trust."
With those cryptic words, Danyi left Harry standing in the corridor, his mind buzzing with thoughts and memories of the past. The encounter left him with a renewed sense of the complexities that surrounded him, and as he entered the Great Hall, he couldn't help but wonder how the intricacies of his connection with Danyi would unfold in the turbulent times ahead.
