It was right after school, you were walking home with a group of friends when you split up and went your separate ways. You were walking down the road when you spotted a tall figure leaning against a pole lighting a cigarette talking to a smaller shadow. As you walked closer you realize it to be no other than the famous Dallas Winston. You see him talking to your crush Johnny Cade. Just as you are making your way over to him he turns around and his jaw drops as you approach him. You start to say something when all of a sudden Dallas says "Beat it kid, I already got a Broad of my own-" "actually I came over to uh-talk to um...Johnny" you say while cutting him off. Johnny becomes wide eyed as he nods quickly and quietly whispers "...Uh Dal d-do you mind?" Hoping for a positive reply. "Sure Johnnycake." He says while walking off. You turn to Johnny and realize he's hardcore blushing while staring at his feet. "Soum JohnnyIwaswonderingifyouwouldliketoumheadovertothedingotonightwithme?" You say extremely fast (unintentionally), "uh what?". "Johnny I was wondering if you'd like to go to the dingo later with me?" He immediately says "yy-yeah sure I'll meet you at 6" he gives you a shy smile and starts to say "Alli I really like yo-" when he's interrupted by a loud snickering coming from behind the corner. You see Dallas appear and start to laugh, "Wow Johnny I never knew you were so good with the broads!" He says running out of breath from laughing. Johnny starts blushing again you roll your eyes at Dallas "Uh Johnny what were you saying before?" "Oh uh nothin. See you tonight." You nod and walk away while smiling to yourself listening to Dallas say to Johnny "That's one good looking broad,your lucky kid" "yeah man she is." You hear Johnny say back. (Couple of hours later) you were making your way down to the dingo in a navy blue dress when you walk up to the front of the dingo to see Johnny standing there with a bouquet of flowers. You walk up to him "Hey Johnny" "oh u-uh hey Alli" Johnny says shyly "y-you look great. ya dig?" "You too". You make your way into the dingo and sit in a window booth. You sit in a awkward silence until Johnny says "um-oh-uh sorry these are for you" he says while handing you the flowers, you can tell he's more nervous than you by the way he shakes every time you talk to him. "Johnny their beautiful! You didn't have to" you tuck a piece of hair behind your ear, "You should thank Ponyboy he helped pick them out" Ponyboy was your study buddy for History class and Math, he was the only one that knew of your crush on his best friend. A Dirty blonde haired girl comes up to your table "Hi there! I'm Kate and I'll be your waitress today." She flashed a smile and winked at Johnny. You felt a wave of jealousy come over you but it faded as Johnny nervously took your hand. "Well I'll have a cheese burger and Pepsi" "ok" she looks at Johnny "You Sugar?" He gulped at her comment and turned red "same". She left and you started up a conversation "So um Johnny when do you have to get home?" "Hopefully never" he said "Why?" "Well I-I just-never mind" "Ok...um are you going to the drag race this weekend?" "Yeah Pony's brother Sodapop is in it With Dal and Steve" You vaguely remember Meeting Soda during a study session with Pony and his looks that every girl in Tulsa would fall for. You were so busy thinking that you didn't even realize your food had gotten to your table. After a while you both finished your food and walked back out to the front, "Well um Johnny I had a really nice time" "Y-yeah me too" he Looked up at you and said "Man this is really hard to say... but Will ya be my girl? I-I know I don't got the looks or money or best home lif-" you kissed him before he could continue and melted into his soft lips. After you two pulled away you said "I'd love to Johnnycake" he smiled big not shy like before because he knows he got you.
