Taehyung's POV
I'm green around the gills, vomiting at the seams, crying due to my ailment. Word around the street is, I'm as sick as a fucking dog. Although, I'd like to say I'm slightly sicker.
I might vomit at any given moment, and I can't be responsible for the mess. The others might disagree—mainly Hoseok—but he'll be fine.
I'm currently pushed into him, my head buried under his arm as he makes pitiful congested sounds while he snores.
Unfortunately, we're all sick. Except, of course, for the bustling creature in the kitchen who is responsible for infecting us; our pretty little Li.
Consequently, said pretty little Li had a nasty bug that is now eating me from the inside out. I must have claimed a fever at one point because there's no other explanation for the dragon I saw crawling on the wall an hour ago. Unless I've somehow shifted into dungeons and dragons, but that doesn't seem to be what's happening.
The medicine started working after that, making the dragon disappear much to its dismay, and the soft sound of Li's pitter-patter in the kitchen is soothing.
She took a day off to stay home with us, and while we scolded her and told her we'd be fine, I'm sure it was hard to take us seriously with our continual coughs and sneezes.
Namjoon was a real hoot, pausing his scolding to blow his nose and fall back onto the couch after a fit of sneezes.
Li stood as tall as she could and said, "I'm staying, and you can't stop me."
We weren't exactly in a position to stop her, and the promise of chicken noodle soup sounded fucking amazing.
She walks into the living room now, a tray of soup in her hands.
She smiles sheepishly when she sees me. "Did I wake you up?"
"You're okay, bun. I've been awake."
"Oh, good. I mean—" She shakes her head lightly. "You should be sleeping though, so once you eat, can you sleep?"
I sigh into Hoseok's shoulder, pushing myself to be closer to him. "You're the sweetest thing. I'll try to sleep, I promise." I glance at the steam rising from the bowls. "How did the soup-making go?"
"Oh! Really good, I think. You'll have to check."
"I'm sure it's delicious, baby. Just like you."
She beams. "You'll just have to taste it to find out."
"You offering to let me taste you, bun?"
"No! You're too—Taehyung!" she scolds, making me laugh. "You're too sick for any of that."
"Any of that? I'm never too sick for sex."
"You saw a dragon barely an hour ago."
"Shut the fuck up," Namjoon scowls from the other couch. "You're too loud."
Li jumps slightly, twisting to see him. "I'm so—I'm really sorry! I didn't know you were awake."
Although his voice comes out muffled from the pillow he's currently face-planted in, I'm able to make out, "You're perfect, baby. You can be as loud as you want. I was talking to Taehyung."
She giggles a bit, stopping when I give her a look. She smiles bashfully, carefully setting the tray on the coffee table.
"You should eat some," she tells us. "Before you sleep. You have to have some food, you know. That's what Jin told me when I was sick."
"Where is he, by the way?" I wonder. "Have you already healed him?"
She beams. "He's in my room with Jimin."
