Snow and shacks. That was all there seemed to be in the small village of Vizhai. Snow, shacks, and a trail of footprints leading north. Footprints left by 10 hikers headed toward the Otorten. Igor Dyatlov led 8 men and women through the hectic snowfall and frigid temperatures. One man, Yuri Yuden, had already been forced to leave the group and go back to his home before the journey had even really begun due to serious illness. So, left with his good wishes, these adventurers went forth into the unknown, trying to reach the summit of the Otorten.
