POV/ Rhaenys Targaryen
We were in the carriage on our way to a prude cold hell as my uncle Oberyn had described it, the complete opposite of the sunny freethinking Dorne, I would miss dorne with my whole heart especially my cousin Arianne she was the wisest and funniest girl in dorne I would miss her the most. But I had to remember what she had told me before I left don't bow don't bend and certainly don't break, ice doesn't hurt fire. I might have Valyrian eyes, but my blood and spirit are Dornish. There were many cons to this trip we would be prisoners in Winterfell they didn't mention it out loud, but I knew that we would be I pulled Aegon closer knowing he was cold, but he was too stubborn to say it he was an exact copy of uncle Oberyn. I looked at the shy girl who was sitting opposite of me, I felt sorry for her. I had overheard my uncles talking about sending her with us just to spite Lord stark, Arianne had heard a rumor from the other ladies at the Water Gardens about how the little girl seated in front of me was the result of and honorable man forgetting his honor I had looked at her, and she didn't look dornish she didn't even look like a dayne, but I did see that she had kind violet just like Arthur sweet and loyal Arthur I used to dream about marrying him my crush started when my mother had read me a story about Duncan and Jenny he would be Duncan and I would be his Jenny he was kind and chivalrous and always played with me even when he was supposed to be on duty I was sad to hear of his death and of the death of his sister the only thing she left behind was a sweet girl with big violet eyes before Ashara had died she had named the girl Arthuretta Sand after her brave brother with the kind eyes. I smiled at her, and suddenly she spoke very quietly just like a mouse, "I know you didn't want me here... I'm very sorry princesses" I had barely heard what she said but what I did hear broke my heart I took her hands in mine and told her "why would you think that little mouse I personally requested you a sweet girl with a great wit who else fits that description but you" she looked down shyly while blushing I moved over a bit so she could sit next to me, she hesitated but sat next to me, she had the brightest smile it was the first time I had seen her smile I hope it wouldn't be the last, I held her and Aegon close to me to keep them warm Leila gave me a smile that made me feel proud of myself she always knew how to say things without using words just her facial expressions
After a few hours that felt like days and of course the trip wouldn't be complete if Leila hasn't given us a few historical facts about the beautiful north I didn't find it a horrible looking place, but it wasn't a great beauty either, I just had to remind myself just a month, and I'll see my mother again just a month of good behavior and well be together again Balerion meowed "I know Balerion but well be fine we have the black dread to protect us" I said while petting my beautiful black cat. Aegon ran out of the carriage and I followed we were met by the Stark's but Lord stark his words faded away when I laid eyes on him a boy that looked about my age but a bit taller he was talking to another boy the boy looked alright but a bit rough he must be Theon which would mean that the boy that I couldn't take my yes of must be Robb. His eyes as blue as the sky and his hair was brown no red or maybe both and his smile is such a beautiful and bright smile I was snapped out of my thoughts by Aegon throwing a snowball at my face Leila couldn't hide her gentle laugh and even the little mouse giggled which caused lady stark to look her up and down in dorne there were bastards everywhere they weren't shunned or degraded Retta wasn't shunned for being a bastard in Dorne but in Winterfell that would certainly be different I could tell by the way lady stark looked at her and I could tell by the boy who was far away in the crowd the stark children didn't really look like Stark's but that boy looked just like lord stark the same lord who couldn't keep his eyes of Retta it made her uncomfortable to a point that she hid behind me Lady Stark her look quickly changed into one of disgust like Retta had just insulted her honor In dorne bastards weren't shamed because in the freethinking Dorne men and women didn't shame the child of that type of relationship but more the people who created the child I would have loved to have told this to the lady who acted as if Retta was here to take her children's birthright, but I remembered what my mother had written me *pick your battles* I couldn't risk offending my host this would be a long stay I couldn't help but stare at that boy would he be my Duncan and I his jenny all I could do is hope they will make songs about our love I know they will
(the next chapter will be about Rhaenys falling in love with Robb, her spreading the rumor and his POV the chapter after that will be about Elia and Tywin their wedding and the chapter after that will be about tywin revealing a huge secret and then all the chapter after that will be GOT episodes but altered to my reality.
