I woke up the next morning thinking I could at least get an I love you from my parents before they left just to find that they left early.

It's okay it's perfectly fine

I walked into our bar area and grabbed myself a bottle of skyy vodka tears slid down my face, drinking it fast despite the burning feeling it left down my throat. I then pulled out my phone and hit the call button. We had the day off because of some random 3-day weekend holiday.

"Hello?"

"Hey Rider, wanna fuck?" I asked into the phone trying to hide my broken voice.

"Sure, I'm on my way," Rider replied then hung up.

I waited by the door for him to get here still sipping the vodka, when I heard a knock I opened the door grabbed a fistful of his shirt, and pulled him inside the house capturing his lips with my own as I clutched the vodka with my other hand.

"Someone's excited to- is that vodka?" He asked pulling away, tasting the disgusting alcohol in my mouth, "Are you okay? Holy shit Evan, how much did you have to drink?" He asked immediately stealing the vodka away from me.

"Hey!" I pouted, "Give it back!" I complained stumbling as I reached for it.

"How much did you drink?" Rider asked sternly as if he was my Dad, not that my Dad would even care but- "Please don't tell me this was full," with that I replied with a guilty smile.

"Evan, you're lying! There's barely a quarter left!" He asked worriedly walking into the kitchen to probably pour the rest of the alcohol down the drain.

Hehe too bad I can easily just get more

I slumped onto the floor suddenly feeling too tired to stand and began to nap causing a very worried Rider to come back and pick me up.

"What happened?" He asked, "Are you okay?"

"I already told you yesterday that I wasn't," I smiled up at him again, "Have I ever told you how pretty your eyes are? They're really pret-"

"We need to get you water," Rider interrupted, carrying me up to my room and lying me down on my bed, I closed my eyes for a few minutes then was reawaken by Rider who insisted I drank an entire bottle of water.

"I don't wanna," I complained with a frown.

"We'll too bad because you're gonna," Rider said propping me upright as he pulled my trash can to the side of my bed.

"My parents broke their promise," I said quietly after I finished the water bottle.

"What promise?" Rider asked confused.

"Family Dinner, they left this morning before I woke up, and they didn't even say goodbye," I smiled up at Rider tears beginning to pool in my eyes. "Why don't they love me?" I asked

"They're your parents Evan, they do love you," Rider said combing his fingers through my hair and I looked down sadly.

"No they don't," I laughed, "They- They hate me I'm just a burden,"

Rider sat there awkwardly he didn't know what to say, well makes sense, we didn't have that kind of relationship where I should be telling him any of this, but I was drunk.

"I-I just want to be loved." I cried. Looking back up at him in the eyes. "Why doesn't anyone want to love me?" I whispered grabbing onto his collar and pulling him closer to me. "What's wrong with me? What do I need to change, what do I have to do to make my parents tell me they love me?" I asked with wide eyes at Rider cupping his face.
