Louri’s POV
I got home from the hospital today and it’s nice to be out of that hospital bed. “Oh, John is here.” Carly says walking into the living room. “Oh, where is he?” I ask. “In the kitchen with Ma.” She says. “So you are still sleeping with my best friend.” I joke. “And you’re sleeping with Chris’s best friend.” She claps back. “Touche.” I laugh. “Who dat?” Maya asks. “That’s your Aunt Carly, she's my sister.” I tell her. “No.” Maya says. “What do you mean no?” I ask. “Auntie Shanna is your sister.” She says. “Well she’s also my sister.” I tell her. “I don’t tink dats how it works.” She says. “Sweety you know how Devon is your brother?” Scarlett asks. “Yes.” Maya nods. “And you know how Thomas is going to be your brother?” Scarlett asks. “Duh I know dat.” Maya says. “Well your Auntie Carly is also your Mama’s sister.” Scarlett explains. “No I don’t tink so.” Maya says before getting off the couch to join Chris and Louisa. “Ouch.” Carly says. “She’s only three and she'll understand better when she’s older.” I tell Carly. “That’s fair.” Carly nods. “Hey curls.” John says, walking into the room. “Holy shit. John, it's so good to see you.” Greg says, jumping from his spot and tackles John. “Nice to see you too. Are you keeping that one in line?” John says. “Hey!” I whine. “Somebody has to.” Greg jokes. “I hate you both.” I say. “Oh no you don’t.” Greg says as he and John get off the ground. “So where’s Tom?” John asks. “I would think he would be glued to your side Lor.” John says. “You don’t know?” I ask. “Know what?” John asks. “Tom died. He was protecting me.” Greg says. “Excuse me.” Scarlett says before practically running out of the room. “My god I didn’t know.” John says, putting his hand on Greg's shoulder. “I’m going to check on her.” I say pointing in the direction Scarlett went. I get up with Chris’s help and I go to check on Scarlett.

Scarlett’s POV
I didn’t want the kids to get worried by seeing me cry so I left the room and went to the master  bedroom. I haven't been here for years. “Scarlett?” I hear Louri say from the doorway. “Hey, you are supposed to be resting.” I say, trying to keep the focus off me. “I had to check on you.” She says. “Thank you.” I say as she sits on the bed next to me and takes my hand in hers. “Last time I was here I was dating Ryan.” I say as I rest my head on her shoulder. “Yeah you wouldn’t leave my side.” She says. “Neither did Tom.” I say. “He was a good man.” She says tearing up. “He really was. How did John not know he died?” I say. “I thought he did.” She says. “I miss him.” I tell her. “I do too.” She says before placing a kiss on my head. “Let's lay down, I'm tired and I’m sure you are too.” I tell her. “Yeah that sounds like a good idea.” She says.
We both end up falling asleep and I wake up to raised voices but I soon realize it’s Chris and Devon singing along to Frozen making me smile. I go to get up but Louri stops me. “Noooo you're warm.” She whines. “I need food.” I say. “Yeah no I’m not getting in between a pregnant woman and food.” She says letting go, making me chuckle. “Am I that bad?” I ask. “Darling, Angel, Baby, Love of my life. You are terrifying when hangry.” She says. “It’s true.” Lisa says from the doorway causing Louri to jump. “Ow.” Louri hisses. “Oh I’m sorry Dear. I was just coming to tell you two that dinner is ready.” Lisa says. “It’s ok Ma you just spooked me that’s all.” Louri says. “Do you want to eat  in here or go join everyone at the table?” I ask. “I’ll come to the table.” Louri says. “I’ll help you up.” I say. “Thank you.” She smiles. “I’ll meet you two at the table.” Lisa says before leaving.

Louri’s POV
Scarlett helps me up and we walk to the dining room together. “Hey Mama Uncle Chris can sing.” Devon says running up to me. “Really is he any good?” I ask even though I know he can. “No.” Devon says, completely serious. “Hey!” Chris whines. “You can’t not like Mommy or Mama. Your voice is too low.” Devon says and I burst out laughing. “You just got criticized by a six year old.” Scarlett laughs. “What’s so funny?” Devon asks. “Nothing little Marine, you are just really cute.” I tell him. “I know that.” He says before walking to the table. “That’s your child.” Greg says. “Yep.” I nod. “Why are children mean?” Chris asks when Scarlett and I sit down joining everyone at the table. “I don’t know who’s kids you are talking about. My kids just have no filter like their mother.” Scarlett says, looking at me. “She’s not wrong.” I say. “I think you have a beautiful singing voice honey.” Ma says placing her hand on Chris’s. “Thank you Ma.” He says. “Now everyone eat.” Ma says. “Yeah it looks amazing Lisa.” Scarlett says. “Well I hope it turned out well.” Ma says. Ma once again is magical in the kitchen and dinner was amazing and it was nice to be with everyone outside of the hospital. Greg ended up going to his house on base to get some sleep. Since we didn’t have enough rooms for everyone the kids stayed with Scarlett and I and Bri and Shanna obviously shared a room Ma took the other and Chris took the couch Carly went with John to his house that he has here.
