It's a brand new year for Zoe and the Cullens. Zoe is still going through a hard time over the loss of her sister. She was hoping that this year would be easier but she hopes to uncover the truth about her parents and in doing so she gets a lot more...
Today is Zoe's birthday. she's turning 17. she has always hated celebrating her birthday. she also shares the same birthday with Bella but that's not why she hates celebrating her birthday. she hates it because it reminds her that she's getting older. Zoe was at her locker getting ready to go to fourth period and out of nowhere when Zoe closes her Locker she jumps because Alice accidently scared her.
"Alice I've told you not to do that." Zoe says hugging Alice. "Sorry I forgot. anyway happy birthday Z." Alice says handing her, her gift

"I told you I didn't want anything." Zoe says. "its not for now, its for later. we are throwing you and Bella a party and its the dress you wanted I thought it would suit you for tonight." Alice says. "Thanks Alice." Zoe says. "Hey Promise me that you'll be there." Alice said. "I'll Be there don't worry." Zoe says. "Good see you later." Alice says walking away. she starts walking away when she feels a tap on her shoulder.
"Hey Z so apparently we are history project partners." Zayn says. "you didn't tell anyone that it was my birthday did you?" Zoe asks.

"No i never told anyone. i kept my promise to you in middle school. "Zayn says. "That's good." Zoe says. "why did someone say something?" Zayn asks. "it's not really a big deal only Alice knows so that's good." Zoe says. "Hey isn't that jasper?" Zayn asks. "yeah it is." Zoe says as she runs up to him.

Few hours later at the Cullen's house. Zoe puts on a short pink dress.

"Wow you look really pretty in that dress. you should wear dresses more often?" Alice asked. "I'm not comfortable enough in dresses." Zoe says. "well whenever you ready we can go dress shopping." Alice says. "sure why not." Zoe says laughing. "I know Jasper will love you in that dress." Alice says.
Once they get downstairs everyone is staring at Zoe.
"Damn Zoe you look hot in that dress." Emmett says but is smacked on the back of the head by Rosalie. "Emmett is right Zoe you look pretty in that dress." Rosalie says. "can I ask you guys a question? would you guys consider me apart of the family?" Zoe ask. "of course after all you are jasper's mate and you are like a Daughter to me." Esme says. Zoe gives Esme a smile.
Zoe is trying to open one of her gifts but she can't get it open. Bella accidently cuts her finger on the paper. Everyone looks at Jasper. Zoe runs to jasper.
"Jasper look at me, Its just a small papercut. Jasper can you hear me. Jasper doesn't mean it but he pushes Zoe out of the way but in doing so she is thrown and she breaks a glass vase cutting her arm. Jasper goes to attack Bella but Edward, Carlisle and Emmett al pin Jasper down on the floor until he calms down. after everything goes back to normal.
"Honey, Zoe is hurt, but I don't know where she went." Esme says stepping forward. "I'll go find her don't worry." Carlisle says.
after he finds her he stitches up her arm.
"you know this isn't your fault right, Jasper just can't control his thirst yet." Carlisle says. "yeah I know but something else is telling me that this is my fault and how am I supposed to Be jasper's mate when I'm human?" Zoe asks. "I'm sure your time in the future as a vampire with come but right now just focus on being you." Carlisle says.
