In the years of the 18th century, humanity stood on the precipice of greatness, their ingenuity propelling them to heights never before conceived. Advances in the realms of medicine and space exploration defied the limitations of their era, a select few daring souls even venturing beyond the atmosphere of Earth in search of a new place to call home.
Though, even as their star burned brighter, the seeds of their undoing took root. A careless experiment, the folly of hubris, awakened the slumbering giant that was yellowstone. This event would become known as "The Global Reset", chaos reigned supreme, and in this maelstrom of destruction, the monsters awoke.
Witnessing the devastation created by humanity's own hand, the monsters made a choice – to intervene, to prevent the cataclysm that threatened to engulf the world. And so it was that the first supernatural entity, the demigod Cael, descended upon the Earth, a majestic force of nature given form. With a sweep of it's power, Cael sealed the super volcano, ensuring its rage would never again be unleashed.
From that moment, a new era began. one in which monsters, supernaturals, and humans forged an alliance, coexisting as one vast, family. But, as the years drew on the dynamic shifted, the monsters' perception of their human kin evolving from that of independent beings to fragile creatures in need of protection.
And so, the monsters assumed the mantle of caretakers, their influence peppered across the globe. Jobs once the domain of man became the purview of the supernatural, and humans found themselves ensconced in group homes and compounds, their lives a gilded cage, pampered like children under the watchful gaze of their monstrous overseers.
In this new world, the choices for human employment dwindled to a mere two: the first, the Star empire, one of the few remaining bastions where monsters and humans could work together. Divided into five factions – Astro, Electronic, Myth, Human, and Cryptid – each under the watchful eye of it's own supervisor.
The other option was the Nebula guard, a seemingly promising resistance with a sinister secret.
