Abigail wasn't sure where she was.
She was surrounded by darkness.
Suddenly she saw all the people she loved most.
They were all leaving.
She spotted Adeline.
"Adeline! ADELINE!"
Adeline just looked at her sadly, and then turned and disappeared
She screamed, till her voice was hoarse, till she fell onto the ground, sobbing her heart out.
"Abigail? Abigail! Oh my goodness! She's alive!"
She opened her eyes. The room spun before her eyes. She tried shutting her eyes tightly and opening them again. She was in an unfamiliar room.
With an effort she tried to sit up and then realised her arm was broken.
Abigail tried to remember what was the last thing that happened before she woke up here.
Instantly, it all came rushing back to her. Adeline's date, how she ruined it, how she tried to fix it, and the awful car accident.
The hospital door burst open abruptly and Adeline came rushing in, followed by a doctor and Abigail's family.
"As soon as you opened your eyes I rushed to get them, oh, I'm so happy you're alive!"
Adeline hugged her and then backed off when Abigail winced.
"Sorry, I forgot about your arm"
"It's okay"
Abigail was desperate just to hear one sentence.
"So you forgive me?"
"What? Of course! I'm sorry because I'm the reason for your accident"
She was extremely relieved.
"Adeline! You weren't the reason. It was my fault"
"You know what, let's just leave all this in the past"
"Thanks Adeline, love you"
"I love you more"
