Why Me?

Chapter 1:

"Beep,beep,beep!" My alarm went off. My face filled with annoyance, thinking about going back to the routine for school. I laid in bed for 5 more minutes, while checking my Instagram. By the time I got up, it was 6:45, I had to choice but to hurry. I immediately jump out if bed, run to my closet, grab my skinny jeans from aero and my 1987 sweatshirt. I grab my socks from my dresser and slip on my black Vans. I went into the bathroom, put my mascara and foundation on, and straighten my hair. At this point it was 6:59, I had 1 minute to be outside. I grabbed my book-bag from my reading chair and ran down the stairs. On my way out, I yelled at my mom, "Bye mom, love you, have a good day." But since I was in a hurry, I didn't get to hear her response.

Right as I got outside my house, I heard the bus, it had just stopped at my house but it was to late. I ran out in the street to see the bus pulling away, with black smoke coming out from the engine. I yelled at the top of my lungs, "WHAT A GREAT WAY TO START MY FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!" I yelled irritated. But at this point it was to late to get a ride from my mom, she has already left for work, my dad left way earlier, and my brother goes to a different school than me. I had no choice but to walk. I wasn't very pleased with this choice, but I couldn't do anything else but either miss school, and I was not going to miss my first day of school.

After about 10 minutes, I finally made it to school. By the time I got to school it was 7:45, I was in my second class right now. As I entered the school, I walked up to the front desk and got my tardy slip, I started to walk off but the lady stopped me and asked me, "Miss do you know what and where your class is.?" She said with a smile on her face. I said," Yes!" In an annoyed tone. I just wasn't in the mood today.

While I walked down the narrow hallway, I got looks from everyone. I didn't know if I had something in my teeth(which was impossible because I didn't eat anything this morning), maybe there was something wrong with my outfit, all I knew was I needed a bathroom bad. I was in luck when I saw a bathroom right by my class I needed to be in. I decided to go to the bathroom first, it wasn't very smart for the long run. When I walked in I saw the cheerleaders gossiping about how Sam Smith looked so hot today, my face had a disgusted look. I looked in the mirror and nothing was wrong. So I just nodded my head and pushed my hair to one side of my shoulder and walked out of the bathroom and entered my class.

Right as I enter the class, my eyes immediately fall on a boy. He had brown kinda curly hair that curved off he's forehead and he had big brown eyes. I only got a glimpse at his eyes, only because when I looked into his eyes, I felt like I was going to die, but in a good way. But while I was looking at him, he turned his head to me, he gave me a weird look and that's when I realized that the teacher was trying to get my attention. He asked me,"Hi!, your one of my new students this year aren't you, can I please have your name.?" He asked politely. I said in a small tone, "Ashlynn, but I go by Drew." "We'll Drew please find a seat." He motioned me to the other kids in the back of the room. When I turned around to find a seat, my heart started to beat fast because there was 1 seat by the cute boy I saw when I first walked in or 2 seats in the corner on the other side of the room from him. But I chose to sit in the corner. So I set my stuff down and looked around to see owhat everyone else was doing. They were making a drawing of one symbol that represented them. So I went back to my seat, got a pencil, and pulled out my spiral notebook. I thought of a lot of things to draw, but only one really mattered. It's practically my life.."music." I can't live without it, I always have head phones in. I started to sketch a music note, but I got bumped into from the back by a jock, throwing the football with his friend. I turned around with my jaw clenched, but right as I turned around a tall, muscular figure stood over the top of me and just glared at me. I quickly turned around, and looked down at my paper to hide my red face. I started to draw a boom box to relax. After about 10 minutes, I had almost finished my drawing, and then I felt a large palm touch my shoulder, to my surprise I turned around and saw the boy of my dreams. He looked at me and said,"Your a really good artist." "Thank you." I said smiling,looking at the ground. And right when I looked up, I saw a girl come up behind him and told him lets go Nick. "Bye Drew." Nick said smiling at me. And the girl that came and got him, turned around and gave me a harsh glare, flipped her hair and walked away....

Chapter 2

"What do you want?" The lunch lady asked me. "Ummm.... I don't really want anything." I told her shyly. I walked off to find a seat, but all the seats at least had one person at every table. I was going to sit with a girl with short red hair, freckles, and a tan dress on. She looked nice enough that she would let me sit with her, but as I approached the table I heard my name in the opposite direction. I turned around to see nick waving his hand and calling me over to his table. I quickly rushed over to the table. "You look like you don't have any where to sit, do you want to sit with us.?" Nick said politely. "Ummm, yeah sure." I said. I sat down right acrossed from Nick. He smiled at me, but I quickly turned away. "Hey Kelsey!" Nick said to a girl to his right. "Kelsey", was her name, the girl that have me the glare this morning. She looked at me and then at Nick, she looked mad. "Will you go get me water,Nick?" Kelsey said in a sweet tone. "Sure." Nick said. Once Nick got up, she looked me in the eyes and said," Nick is mine,you need to stop looking at him, and you need to leave this table." She said in a snotty, bratty voice. I got up and left the table. I sat with all the geeky nerds. When I got up to go get water, I passed by Nicks table, I saw him mouth, "Why did you leave." I just looked at him, my eyes started to water. When I got to the water, I spilt some of my water, and I heard a voice behind me saying,"Do you need some help.?" I turned around and saw that it was Nick. I just looked at him. "I-i-I can't talk to you anymore..." I told him stuttering. "Why!" He said in a mad tone. "We'll "Kelsey" your girlfriend told me to." I said not-so-polite. "She's not my girlfriend, I only have one girl on my mind." Nick said smiling. "Can you tell me her name?" I asked quietly. "We'll, I don't know, last year when I told Kelsey I liked someone, she told the whole school." When he said that I was thinking through my mind, then why do you let her sit at your table. And just then it's like he read my mind because he said, "I know you probably think I'm weird because we look like we're really good friends,we just put that whole thing behind us." He said alarming me. "Oh heh, I don't think that. But I promise, I won't tell anyone." I said smiling at him. He waited a few seconds after to tell me, he pulled he close and whispered in my ear,"You." I kept my head down staring at the floor. Nick tilted my chin up to we're I could see his face, I avoided looking into his eyes, but right then and there he asked me for my number. I told him that I'd give it to him after school.

When I finally got home, I managed to catch my family up on my first day of school. I left out the part about Nick because my dad would always give me a look when I talked about boys. They only person I could trust to know that I was dating was my brother. We had formed a pack to keep all secrets, that we kept from our parents.

I ran upstairs to my bedroom, threw my book bag against the wall, and kicked off my Vans . I jumped on my bed, pulled out my iPhone and checked my messages. I had just gotten my first text from Nick! A small smile can across my face as I opened the text.
