-Previously-
'Okaerinasai, Hikari san.' Kuroko wrote on a small piece of paper as class started.
While reading, a smile crawled onto my face, my lips twitched upwards.
---------------------------------------------
"Hikari san, have you decided which club to join?" Kuroko asked the petite girl."Nope, you're in the basketball club, right? Of course, you are. Who am I talking to?" Hikari continued to ramble on, without letting Kuroko answer.
"Oi, Kuroko, who are you talking to? Are you crazy? Talking to thin air?" Kagami asks as his eyebrows twitched.
"No, I'm talking to Hikari san, our new classmate, remember?" Kuroko bluntly answers with a slight hint of amusement in his voice.
"Oi! Split brows!" Hikari shouted as she jabs Kagami's side.
"OUCH! WHAT WAS THAT FOR? WHEN WERE YOU HERE!?" Kagami freaked out.
"I was here the whole time with Kuro kun. You were not paying attention and quit shouting split brows." Hikari answers mono-tonelessly as both Kuroko and her point at the library sign above their heads.
Kagami was irritated at their actions but soon calmed down as Kuroko spoke.
"Hikari san, would you like to be the manager of the basketball club?" Kuroko politely suggested.
Hikari stares into Kuroko's sky-blue eyes, very deep in thought.
"I might... you know... about that." Hikari mumbles under her breath while tugging at her glove, Kuroko's eyes widen for a while as he saw her doing that and it saddens him as he knew about the incident and what happened to her hand.
"I understand, but if you want to, you can come to the gym." Kuroko pats her head gently.
"Alright, I'll be there after school today to watch your practice," Hikari says cheerfully, waves then skips into the library.
"What was all that, Kuroko?" Kagami asks in confusion.
The bluenette ignores the bigger male.
'You'll understand when the time comes, Kagami kun' Kuroko thought to himself as he suddenly disappeared off, leaving Kagami alone.
-After School-
Hikari packs her books and stationery and then looks at the sun which was slowly setting.
"Hikari chan! Can you take over my duty after school? I have to rush to purchase new medicine for my mother." A female classmate exclaimed as she neared Hikari.
"Ah... Alright." Hikari answers back and placed her bag on her table, before going to the blackboard to wipe it clean.
The female classmate thanked her and left in a hurry.
"Ah, I forgot. Kuro kun has basketball practice. I better hurry." Hikari smiles slightly and completes her task in 30 minutes.
She exhales with a sigh, picks up her bag and rushes towards the gym.
-At the Gym-
Once she reached the entrance of the gym, she saw light escaping from the tiny opening, squeaks of basketball shoes could be heard and she peeks through the opening. Her eyes widened with delight and a smile spread across her face, as she saw Kuroko's face brightening even though he wasn't smiling. She spotted the other teammates as well. She slowly opens the door and enters. No one knew she entered, smiling and sighing with relief, she walked over to a bench and sat. Taking out her notebook, she noted down their weaknesses, and strengths as well as ways to improve their style. Giving each player a nickname, for example, 'Cat Face', 'Megane', 'Mute' and so on.
