Chesca is standing at the window of her office which is made up of glass from floor to ceiling. It is located at the 15th floor of the building of Belleza Fashion Inc., her company. From there, she got a perfect view all of downtown Manhattan including the World Trade Center. And as if that wasn't enough, the sun was going down and the sky is turning into red and orange. That's the reason why she loves New York City.
"What a relaxing sight!" she thought.
It became her daily habit after a long tiring day at work, to watch the whole city and the sunset.
Its almost six o'clock but she wasn't planning to go home that early, besides, its friday which means two consecutive days of rest is coming her way.
She doesn't have an idea how engrossed she is in savoring the scenery for her not to noticed the knocks on her door.
"I thought you're already gone home bro!" a deep voice that awaken her senses.
"Hell ya!" she yelled clutching her chest. "Don't you know how to knock sissy?" she growled.
"I do, it's you who doesn't know how to listen!" Brian answered defiantly with a wide grin on his face.
He's the head of the planning department. They were close friends since college. People around them wonder why she calls him "Sissy" and Brian calls her "Bro", well that was just their way to annoy each other way back into their college life.
"Whatever! Anyway why are you still here?" she asked ignoring his lame excuse.
"Well it's all because of this." dropping a white folder in her desk. "Thats the final draft for the launch of our new collections and for the opening of our new branch in LA."
"Great! So, when?"
"And that is why I am here, to asked for your decision!"
"Okay, I want it by the end of this month. Lets launch the new collections during the opening of our new branch then."
"As you wished!" he nodded. "I'll be going now, I don't wanna be late."
"Late for what?" she confusely asked.
"Have you forgotten? Tonight is the engagement party of Isaac and Karen." raising his eyebrows.
"Oh my God! I really forgot!"
"You still have two hour left to go home and prepare!" he said with a teasing look on his face.
"Yay! I better go too!" said Chesca grabbing her Armani coat and Hermes bag. Together with Brian she headed out of her office to the elevator.
"Drive safely gorgeous bro!" Brian said as he lower his head to kiss Chesca's cheeks.
"You too handsome sissy!" Chesca teasingly answered.
Driving her Bugatti Veyron she reached home after fifteen minutes. It was a two storey apartment, with oriental interior designs. Since her mom and two younger siblings choose to stay in San Francisco, she's living alone. She lose her father at the age of twenty two due to heart attack.
When she got out of her car, she immediately went to her room, take off her clothes and had a quick shower. After that she go on scanning her wardrobe for something to wear.
After fourty minutes, she decided to go for a black lace cocktail dress that hugs every curves of her body, a long sleeves made the upfront looking conservative, the hem ended at her mid-thigh showing off her long toned legs and the back is so damn sexy-- it was open down to her waist. She paired it with a silver stilleto that made her look even more stunning and a set of diamond necklace and earrings. Then she curled the edges of her long chestnut brown hair and applied a light makeup in neutral shades.
"Perfect!" she exclaimed glancing herself in the full lenght mirror in her room.
She headed out of her house and drive to Isaac's bachelors pad which tis thirty minutes away from her place.
At exactly thirty minutes she found herself as the center of attraction in the party. All eyes was on her. She ignore it and make her way to Brian and his girlfriend Mj.
"Bro!!!!"
"Sissy!!"
"Whoa! How stunning!" Brian could not take his eyes off her.
"Uhm! Mj is there!" Chesca punched him, while Mj can't help but laugh at them.
"Its okay! She knows that I have a crush on you! " Brian replied jokingly.
"Bitch!" Chesca teasingly slap him.
"That hurts bastard!" Brian pouted.
And together with Mj, Chesca laugh gleefully.
"Anyway, have you seen Karen?"
"She's in the balcony with Isaac's family." Mj answered smiling sweetly at her since Brian is on his phone.
"Thanks Mj! I'll just go to her. Catch you later lovebirds!" she lean on to kiss Mj's cheeks.
She strode away when she overheared Brian.
"Hey bro! Comeback after 15 minutes, I got to introduce you to my cousin!"
She pretended that she didn't hear it. She shook her head.
"I know what you're doing Brian. Thank you for trying your best to help me but I just can't see myself with someone else." she thought.
She found Karen and Isaac entertaining their guest. She hugged them both and congratulated them. Since college, she already know that they were really meant to be. She witnessed the ups and downs of their relationship that is why she's so happy that finally they're getting married.
"What about you Chesca? When are you planning to settledown?" Cristianneth asked her. She's also one of her circle of friends in college.
Chesca violently cough of what she heard. Her friends laugh at her reaction.
"The best question for Chesca is, when are you planning to have a boyfriend?" laughing Ryza add up.
"Hey! Why the hell are you putting me in spotlight?" she frowned."This is not my night remember?"
"Guys, stop pressuring Chesca. I'm sure she's just waiting for someone!" giggling Karen join the group in teasing her.
"God! You are all imposible!" she rolled her eyes.
And the laugh continue.
Chesca excuse herself from the girls when she receive a text message from Brian.
"Bro! Where are you? This is important. Get back here now!"
She shook her head and start looking for Brian.
