Scarlett’s POV
It’s nice to be back home in LA. We got back home last week. Bri and Shanna went to their place here in LA and so did Chris. Carly and John stayed in D.C since that’s where he’s stationed. Greg of course came back to LA with us. It was his first time on a private jet. He was like a giddy little kid the whole time. It was quite funny to watch. Louri is able to get out of bed without any help now she still has a nasty bruise on her forehead and left eye. I am due to have Thomas any day now. I'm very excited to meet him. I am currently making breakfast and the kids should be up soon. “Morning Babe.” Louri says as she walks into the kitchen and gives me a kiss on the temple as she heads to the coffee maker but I can tell something’s off. “What’s wrong?” I ask turning off the stove and moving the pan from the burner so nothing gets burned. “Nothing, I'm fine.” She says and it’s not at all convincing. “Louri I know you and I know something is wrong.” I say. She lets out a sigh before talking. “Your due date is in two days. I haven’t been cleared by the doctor yet. I can’t lift anything over five pounds which means I can’t hold him.” She says, dropping her head. “Oh come here Baby.” I say holding out my arms and she melts into my touch. “Babe you can’t lift anything over five pounds. But you can still hold him if you are sitting in a chair or laying next to me in bed.” I tell her. “I didn’t think of it that way. Thank you. You always seem to know what to say.” She says, wrapping her arms around my waist and my arms go around her shoulders and we just stay like that for a little bit just enjoying each other's company. “I should get back to making breakfast.” I say. “Mm hm.” She hums and lets me go but the minute I am facing the stove I feel her arms wrap around me from behind and I melt into her touch. She rests her head on my shoulder as I cook. She’s only got a two inch height difference on me. “This is nice.” I say. “You like it when I hold you while you cook?” She asks. “I like it when you hold me every time. It makes me feel safe and protected.” I tell her. “Noted, I will try to do it more often.” She says kissing my cheek. “Op I hear little footsteps.” She says and seconds after she says that Devon comes into the kitchen and climbs onto one of the bar stools. “Good morning Angel.” “Good morning little Marine.” Louri and I say at the same time. “Good morning.” He replies tiredly. “How did you sleep?” Louri asks. “Ok.” He shrugs. “Well that’s good.” I say. “What’s for breakfast?” He asks. “Pancakes and chopped fruit.” I tell him. “I don’t see any fruit.” He says. “Well that’s because it’s in a container in the fridge because I chopped it up before I started on the pancakes.” I tell him and he nods. “Why is Mama always holding you?” He asks his question directed at me. “Well because I like it when she does. And she likes to hold me because touch is one of our love languages so it means we like to be close to each other as much as we can.” I explain. “Oh. Can I go watch M*A*S*H?” He asks. “Of course you can but remember you can only watch episodes from the first three seasons.” Louri tells him. “I know Mama.” He says. “Good. Do you know how to use the blu-ray player?” I ask. “Yes Mama showed me.” He says proudly. “Good. I will tell you when breakfast is ready enjoy watching M*A*S*H.” I say and he nods and runs off to the living room to watch M*A*S*H. “You know I think the only reason he watches that show is because your unit is also called the 4077th.” I say to Louri. “That is possible. But I also know he loves the character Klinger.” Louri says. “How is it that you have a Klinger and an O'Reily in your unit and your CO is named Sherman Potter?” I ask. “I don’t know, funny coincidence I guess.” She says. “I guess so.” I say. “Good morning you two.” Lisa says when she walks into the kitchen and heads for the pot of coffee. “Good morning Ma.” “Good morning Lisa.” Louri and I say  “Oh dear we are out of half and half. “Ma top self on the inside of the door.” Louri says. “Oh there it is thank you Sweetie.” She says. “No problem Ma.” Louri says back. “Well I think I am going to join Devon in watching some M*A*S*H.” Lisa says after she has made herself a cup of coffee. “If you don’t mind me asking but what were you dreaming about last night you kept tossing and turning. I tried to wake you but even slashing a cup of water on your head didn’t even work.” I say. “Oh it was actually quite a cute dream. Would you like me to tell you what happened?” She says. “Yes please.” I say. “Ok so this is what happened.” She says.
[The dream]
“You can’t catch me!” Devon giggles. I catch up to him and scoop him up and start to tickle him. “Mommy it’s the tickle monster.” He giggles. “I’ll save you Angel.” Scarlett says and comes up to me and starts to tickle me causing me to have to put Devon down and he starts to help Scarlett tickle me. “Ok I give up, you guys win.” I say not able to hold back my laughter. “You hear that Mommy we won!” Devon cheers as he jumps up and down.
[End of dream]
“Louri, that's so sweet.” I say. “It was and it made me wake up with a smile on my face today.” She says. “I’m glad me and Devon being tickle monsters makes you wake up with a smile.” I say turning my head to kiss her cheek. “Uh unh I need a real kiss.” She says. I turn my head just enough for her to connect our lips. “I’m kinda glad you weren’t able to wake me, it was a really nice dream.” Louri says. “Well I’m glad it wasn’t a nightmare.” I tell her. “Me too and I’m sorry if I scared you.” She says. “It’s ok. You didn’t seem to be in distress, you were just tossing and turning.” I say. “I had two tickle monsters going after me. You would toss and turn too.” She says with a chuckle. “Yeah that’s probably true.” I chuckle.
