"Your eyes are so blue, dark blue."

"Do you like it?"

"Are you kidding? I really, really, really! Love it!"

_______________

Some of her trousers had been lifted to her knees, and the unsteady water occasionally rose to the woman's upper calves. The small waves just came and went without caring about the presence of this single human. The moonlight completely illuminates the expanse of the ocean, as if it were the night sun. Taking two wide steps, the pants finally got wet down to her thighs. The cold night air could no longer be endured, but her longing overcame all that, she tried to reach the middle of the ocean with the feeling of fear she still harbored.

Those feet never approached the middle of the dark sea, she only dared to stand on the edge of a shallow beach, whatever beach it was. She only watched as light and darkness tried to dominate each other, the sea brought darkness, while the moon tried to always accompany the vast blackish blue water. The hand was now just between her bodies, not reaching out like before, this time she tried to take another step, two more steps.

But she couldn't, now, she was very afraid of the depths of the sea.

Once again she reminded herself, she said softly, "The earth is very wide, how can I meet you again." Words that always make her complain every time.

Her eyes were dark blue, not because of the reflection of the ocean. The brightness of the moonlight was not reflected in those eye circles, the darkness was even the same as the darkness of sea water in the middle of a lonely night without any direction. Starless sea.

Stars are sometimes loyal, sometimes not. But now, they were present in infinite numbers, watching this woman stand for a long time staring into the distance. Nobody forbade her from doing all this, because she wouldn't be able to go any further. She didn't have that courage, she wasn't weak, but those memories were still stored in her memory. As if eternal, not swallowed by time.

There is no reason to smile when she sees the silence of the ocean, the disturbing breath always accompanies her at all times, the noisy heartbeat is always faithful in her every life. Warm body temperature always signals her to live life, again and again. She couldn't even repeat the day anymore, because the person he wanted to meet never came to complete the day.

It wasn't just a year or two that she waited. Not even the ten or twenty years she was looking for, but more than that. She has passed a century, two centuries to three centuries. She had searched for that long to find the same figure with all the memories in her mind.

But no, that hope is dwindling. The owner of blue eyes is now almost giving up.

Waiting or searching, she did it all.

"You said you would come back, you made me wait all this time." There was no crying, she was not sad, now her voice was a little angry and disappointed, her eyes never moved away from the dark sky and calm ocean line, she said again, "You torture me with these feelings. You!" She closed her eyes and tried to calm her anger, "You always come into my dreams, reminding me of your arrival. Or..." Her eyes opened again and looked ahead with a sharp gaze, "Or is it just an illusion? Am I destined to be alone, forever?" Her eyebrows knit together, apparently her anger had not subsided from before, "Answer me! You actually never want to go back, do you!?" The cold water hit her feet several times, but she ignored it.

The silence became even more pronounced when everything she asked never got an answer. Don't blame the vastness of nature, this question was asked to give breathing space to a heart full of thunder. She tried to throw away all the burdens that always came in every time, when that beautiful face entered a clear image in her mind. She just wanted to vent all her longing for the ocean dwellers who never came into her life.

"You.." She held back harsh words, as if considering what to say, finally she said loudly and forcefully, "You are a liar!"

Her scream didn't change anything, everyone still looked peaceful in their respective positions, as if the rocks, waves, ocean, sky, moon and stars ignored the scream. However, there was one who answered it.

Wind.

A gentle breeze passed by the woman's eyes gently, the woman who was screaming immediately closed her eyes. She couldn't see anything but black. Then she said, "It's always like this." Whether it was an answer or just a coincidence, the wind always greeted her dark eyes.

Slowly she opened her eyes again, then her gaze returned to the vast earth, she said with the same disappointment, "I'll go."

Again, looking for you in a different place.

Turning her back to the ocean, her eyes became sad again. Not bright and enthusiastic, her footsteps began to approach the sand of the beach, now the sand blended with the wet skin of her feet. Still feeling the same, her gaze was still sad, as if full of questions and doubts, she really wanted an answer to one question.

When?

When do we meet again?

Taking a deep breath, she walked away from the deserted beach. Not looking back once, she walked away quickly until she found her footwear and returned to the car on the side of the road.

Freen Samman, that's her name.

Again, waiting is not an easy thing. Until now, she always remembers the woman's final words.

In the dark ocean, the woman spoke her heart, 'Wait for me, I'll be back. Look for me, remind me of you again, Freen.'
