The song that plays at the ball is "Black Friday" by Tom Odell.
"Okay everyone, grab a partner and start the dance!" A voice yells over the speaker.
Me and sakura start off together.
But as the song plays everyone switches partners every so often.
As i spun around to switch partners i grab the hand next to me, and as i turn I feel my heart sink. Im now dancing with sasuke.
Neither of us can speak. We just continue to look at each other.
As we dance we slowly start to get closer. I can feel it. I can see the regret in sasukes eyes as he looks at me...
"It's okay.." i whispered softly, with a gulp as i hold back a tear.
Sasuke tried to speak but another dancer forced sasuke out of the way as they switched partners again. For the rest of the ball narutos words replayed throgh sasukes head over and over.
After the ball everyone went to itachis house for the after party.
Everyone is having a good time, I am hanging out with everyone and just talking.
I then turn around and see sasuke stumble as he walks.
I walk up to him and grab his arm and put it over my shoulder. And then I carried sasuke to his room and sat him on his bed.
"Naruto.." sasuke tried to speak
"It's okay sasuke. Just rest." I replied.
"Why do you keep saying that? How is this okay?!" Sasuke yelled as a tear ran down his face.
"Rest sasuke. We can talk later. I'll get you some water and you can sober up. After that come find me." I replied with a sad smile.
I got sasuke water and then left.
Everyone is partying down stairs, but I stayed sober.
"Why havnt you been drinking?" Itachi and sakura asked me concerned of my odd behavior.
"For sasuke. He wants to talk. And I told him to sober up first." I replied.
"Thank you naruto.." itachi whispered as he walked away.
