2 weeks later

I'm sitting on my bed with a face mask on my face,book in my hand and a smoothie on my bed side table.

Today is our first day of break so I'm starting it off good by detoxing.

I'm on one of my last chapters of my book when I hear my phone ping

I reach over to where my phone was charging and look at my messages

I quickly check the time 7:32 pm

Kane<3: hey Angel I was wondering if you would want to come to a car meet with me later,it's totally fine if you don't want to come.

Me: of course I want to come

I then delete that response because it sounds to desperate

Me: sure!

He's fast to respond

Kane <3: I will pick you up at 9

Me:okay that works....what do I wear?

Kane<3: a short dress like the one you wore when you came in to get that tattoo

Me:I will see what I have

I quickly rummage through my closet

10 minutes later
"Yes" I pump my arms around when I find the perfect dress

flinging the dress on my bed so I can look for shoes

I tighten my hands on the wheel when she opens the car door

The tight dress hugs all of her curves perfectly with a sexy open backing that makes me wanna reach out and-

my thoughts get interrupted

"Hi Kane" she saids excitedly

"Hi Angel" I say while turning on the radio and begin to drive

"Where's Kennedy is she not coming?"

I laugh which I shouldn't have but I couldn't help it

"Angel, Kennedy is not ever coming to a car meet"

She frowns "why not"

I shake my head smiling "I'm going to assume you have never been to one of these"

She nods

"Do you know what street racing is?"

I see her back tighten "yea" she saids quietly

"Are you still okay going to this?If not I can bring you home at anytime okay?

Her pov

"I'm okay to go still"

"Okay good"

He reaches over the center console and grabs my hand tightly squeezing it

Soon we are pulling into a dirt road

I slip out of his touch

which now leads to my hand feeling empty and bare

Ignoring the feeling I get out of the car quickly pulling my dress down so my butt stays covered

I feel someone's hand caressing mine lightly again

"You can't get lost baby" Kane whispers closely to my ear

I blush at him calling me baby

When he pulls away I feel him lightly bite the top of my ear

which makes my cheeks heat up more

We are now walking towards a group of people surrounding a car

"KANE!" I hear someone yell from behind me which makes me whip my head around and apparently other people had the same idea and whipped their heads around towards the sound

"Hey man" Kane says while doing a bro hug

"You racin tonight?" The guys asks Kane

Which makes me squeeze kanes hand tighter

I don't like the thought of him getting hurt

"Yea I am"

I tense up and I know Kane notices it

"Hey man I will talk to you later" Kane  saids to whoever the guy is

"What's wrong Angel?" I bite my lip deciding if I should tell him the truth

"I just don't want you to get hurt" I say In all honesty

He kisses the top of my head "I will be fine don't worry your pretty head"

I want to hug him

Darn it

"For the plot" I mumble to myself as I go in for a hug
