As I walked towards the bathroom, I couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. Standing up for Lloyd had not only earned me the respect of the cheerleaders but also solidified our friendship. It was a small victory, but it meant a lot to both of us.

Inside the bathroom, I took a moment to collect myself. The adrenaline from the confrontation was still coursing through my veins, and I needed a moment to calm down. I splashed some cold water on my face, taking deep breaths to steady my racing heart.

As I exited the bathroom, I noticed Lloyd waiting for me by the lockers. He had a mischievous grin on his face. "Skipping class, huh? I didn't take you for a rebel, Y/n."

I chuckled, leaning against the lockers. "Well, sometimes you just need a break from all the drama, you know? Plus, I figured I deserved a little reward for my heroic act."

Lloyd laughed, shaking his head. "Heroic act, huh? You're really milking this, aren't you?"

I shrugged, a playful glint in my eyes. "Can you blame me? It's not every day I get to save the day and earn the respect of the cheerleaders."

We both laughed, enjoying the lighthearted moment. It was a stark contrast to the tension and animosity we had faced earlier. As we walked down the hallway, we talked about our plans for the rest of the day, making up for the missed classes with promises to catch up later.

But the class bell rung again signalling it was time for lunch. Usually I would go and pick on Charlie to see if he would get me something to eat since the school didn't have me in their system still.
