Ainsley knew how things were. She knew they it wasn't easy. She knew that she was thinking about things with Sam. And how they had turned out.

She knew it was harder more than ever. And she knew how he had told her not to take Madison from her.

She knew how he had begged her. But she felt as if this wasn't about her or Sam. She knew it was about Madison. And what was best for her.

She knew that having a parent going in and out of her life was not what was best for her.

Ainsley stood in the kitchen. She looked to see Madison as she walked in and smiled. "Hi darling. Are you okay?" Ainsley asked.

Madison looked to her and smiled. "I'm okay. I drew pictures," she said.

Ainsley took the photos from her and smiled. "I love them. Come here," she said as she picked up her daughter and held her to her chest and smiled.

"I know that things have been hard for you. I know that you have been confused. But I want you to know how much mummy loves you. And how she will do anything for you okay," Ainsley said as she brushed her hair out of her daughter's face.

"I love you mummy," Madison said.

Ainsley looked to her and smiled. "I love you too," she said.

She knew how things were. But she also knew how her kids would always come first.

Ainsley got to work. She was stood in the staffroom. She looked to see Alexis as she walked in.

She looked to her and smiled. "How are things with Iain?" She asked.

Alexis looked to her and sighed. "It could be better. But we talked. And we talked about how much that we love each other. And how we don't want to lose each other. I talked about how scared I was with this. And he promised me how Jordan wouldn't come between us. I believe him. I see the look on his face when we talked about her. And it's hatred," she said.

Ainsley looked to her and smiled. "I know it's not easy. But you and Iain are strong. You will get through this. Don't let her get to you," she told her.

Alexis looked to him and smiled. "I'm trying not to. Besides I am about to have his baby. And I want to focus on her," she said as Ainsley smiled.

Ainsley stood by the nurses station. She looked to see Sam as he walked over to her. "Can we talk?" He asked.

Ainsley looked to him and sighed. "I don't think that there is anything to say do you?" She asked.

Sam sighed. "I know I havent been the best dad. But she's my little girl. Don't take me away from her," he said as she frowned.

She knew that she did feel bad. "This isn't about me. It's about her. And what is best for her. This isn't it," she said as he sighed.

Ainsley knew things were a mess. But it wasn't going to get any easier.
