Prologue

Aina POV:

"you're going on a trip?". I turn my gaze to the female figure sitting in front of me. The voice sadly replied "yes.....unfortunately it will take months before I return back home". I quietly stare at her before turning back to the sweet dessert in front of me....somehow it doesn't seem appetizing to me anymore. "Oh sister, please don't be upset". The girl tried to reassure me

There was silence for a minute or two

"I promise I'll be back as soon as I can". She says while gently grabbing my hand that's gripping the sheets of the table. I'm not sure why I wasn't upset that she'll be away for months because there' something telling me that 𝑰'𝒎 the one that's gonna be away for a while and that thought is the one that's bothering me. "I understand, if it's important then you must go there immediately". I reply with an upset voice. " but make sure to keep yourself safe okay". You raise your head to look at her with a sad yet genuine smile. She smiles back at me before saying  "You too"

The Day of Departure

Strange.....My sister is the one leaving but why are the butlers and maids act as if both of us are leaving?. I let out an uneasy look but I just shrug it off. "I might just be like this because I haven't be able to sleep properly". I say quietly

𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐜𝐤 𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐜𝐤*

"Madam Aina? Are you there?" A low voice called out. My thoughts were quickly pushed away when there was a sudden knocking on my door. "Ah yes, come in Sir [----]". I let out a reply while standing up from my bed. The butler enters the room with a stoic look and bows. "It is time for the two of you to leave madam". I stare at the butler confused and asked "Sir whatever do you mean by that? My dear sister said that she will be the only one going to[----]?"

The butler raises his head and shows me a look that I cannot comprehend which is a first for me but his eyes shows a glint of mischief. "The sages had a change of plan....They would like for you to join as well". The butler says and I began to ask more questions "What is the reason in why they asked for my presence?" The butler stayed silent for a few seconds until he finally says

"that I cannot say, however it is important for you to be there as well, no one else can take your place" I stare at the butler and just nodded silently. "we wish for your presence at the front yard in 10 minutes madam and about your luggage do not worry, we have already packed it before hand" He says before bowing and leaving the room silently. I sigh......my goodness if they asked for me to come a long why didn't they notify me about it sooner

After 5 minutes

I finished getting ready for my departure making sure that I didn't leave anything important and that my room looks clean before I leave it. after checking every part of my room I figure that it was time for me to go down stairs and so I began walking towards the door however I failed to notice the faint glow inside my mirror.

I began walking down the stairs and I noticed my sister waiting for me she looked somewhat nervous[?]"Sister?" I call out to her gently and she swiftly turned her head to me."Aina your here" She says and began walking hastily towards me and grabbed my hands "Aina I've had this uneasy feeling ever since last night, and now it makes me not want to leave home no.... makes me not wanna leave you " I look at her and I notice the nervousness and anxiety in her eyes. "Don't worry Dear Sister, I'm sure we'll see each other again after a few months and I promise you that our journey will be safe, no harm will go our way" I say but somehow it felt as if I were reassuring Myself. "Come on it's time for us to go now" I say while extending my hand out to her. She nods and grabs my hand.

The two of us arrived at the front yard when she suddenly gasped. "OH MY! I forgot my pocket watch upstairs!" She says and let's go of my hand and quickly turns around to go find it "Pardon me I'll go upstairs to quickly get it!" I giggle at her as she began running. "She still forgets to check her stuff before leaving" I smile sweetly at that fact

"𝐀𝐡, 𝐦𝐲 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐥"

I heard a new and unfamiliar voice and quickly checked my surroundings to see who it belonged to but I was shocked to find out that the front yard was empty and there was no one there

"𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐚𝐥𝐥"

"Okay maybe the lack of sleep is getting to me now.." I stated out loud...maybe I have become delirious just as my sister said a few days ago

"𝐎 𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐜 𝐦𝐢𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐫, 𝐭𝐡𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐝𝐨𝐦 𝐈 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭"

"𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐈 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐤"

I suddenly heard the clanging of horse shoes and swiftly turned my head to my left side

There I saw...........

"𝐘𝐨𝐮, 𝐰𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐌𝐢𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐫 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐤𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡..."

I stare at the black carriage running up to me at full speed

"𝐢𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐛𝐢𝐝𝐬 𝐢𝐭, 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐫"

As it began closing up to me I felt myself losing consciousness however before I knocked out completely

I heard a voice quietly saying
