We Got Into KISS!?

Hi. I'm Sky Song Covey. Yes, I am a Song Covey, the family that is famous for my sister and her boyfriend. Well, not many people have heard of me but I'm actually Kitty Song Covey's twin sister. 

Everyone is always surprised when I say we are twins as we don't look that much alike but I promise we are. I just grew a bit taller than her and have black hair and not brown. But we are nearly the same person, just a few miner details about our personalities that are different.

Me and Kitty are currently sitting on our floaties in a pool, sunbathing, while Kitty is trying to talk to her boyfriend Dae. They have been having internet problems for what feels like forever and it is really annoying me. 

So when she came running up to me with a book of mom's old photo album and her phone in hand saying we HAVE to go to KISS, I was immediately going to agree, I just didn't know it was mostly so she could kiss Dae. 

"Dae? Dae? Hello?" Kitty says to her phone for about the 50th time today. She moves her phone around to get better reception but ultimately fails. 

"Sis, give up already." I tell her with a groan. I lift my sunglasses up on my head and watch her struggle.

"Can you hear me?" She talks towards her phone again, ignoring me completely.

Summer in Portland, everybody's got their person. And I'm still trying to get a hold of mine. While, I still have no one. But I do, yet It's not easy since he's 16 time zones and 5,000 miles away.

"Kitty, are you there? Kitty?" Dae's voice rings through the phone. 

"Hi." Kitty says with a big smile and a smile grows on my face. I put my sunglasses back on and enjoy my time while I listen to the two talk in the background. 

"Hi." I can hear Dae's laugh and I hear Kitty relax on the floaty next to me.

"I can hear you now." Kitty lets out a sigh and they start their conversation again. 

"Finally. My reception is so bad here." Dae explains.

"This is so hard." Kitty tells him and I can hear the pain in her voice. 

"I wish I was there. And Hi Sky." I hear through the phone and a smile spreads. 

"Hey, Dae!" I reply and my sister laughs. 

"If I was not enjoying this pool floaty, I would be at home in my comfort socks. Missing you." Kitty tells him and I gag out loud. Kitty kicks water over me and I let out a shocked gasp. 

"HEY!" I shout and kick some at her.

Kitty then focuses back on her phone as Dae speaks up again. "I hate we're so far away from each other."

"I hate it too. Are we ever gonna see each other again?" Kitty asks him defeated.

"Kitty?" Dae says and I groan as he loses connection again.

"Dae? I said, are we ever gonna see each other again? Hello?" There's a long pause before Dae's voice sounds through the phone again but in a very glitchy voice. 

"Yes, we will. I'd give anything to be with you now." I look over at Kitty as her phone starts buzzing and her face lightens up.

"I gotta go. I will call you later. Bye." She rushes out then pulls my floaty towards her.

I look at her confused and she shows me her phone. My face then lightens up as I read the words KISS South Korea. I answer it for her then she puts it to her ear.
