Claire's POV
We had been driving for 13 hours, and my legs were starting to hurt. My family and I were moving, and by family I mean my Mum, My Dad, My sister Minx and Me, Claire.
"MUUUUUUUUUUUM, ARE WE THERE YET!!!???" Minx and I screamed, clearly bored out of our minds. We had stopped in some fancy neighbourhood, and Dad was looking around all confused-like. He was obviously lost.
"Almost sweethearts, why don't you play the alphabet game whilst we continue driving?" She said, I tried to contain my laughter, I honestly did, but I couldn't help it
"Uh, maybe because we're not 6 and 7 anymore?" Minx chuckled to herself, smirking at me, mouthing to me 'is she crazy?'
"You watch your attitude young lady, or I'll give you the smallest room." Dad warned.
"Actually Minx and I are gonna share a room, save space and stuff. Plus it'll be easier to sneak out, we won't have to wait for the other person to get ready, we can get ready to go to some top secret party together then we can just jump out the window." I said, like we'd actually get invited to parties, we'd have to gate crash, and even at that we'd be shunned. Because obviously no one talks to the new girls, unless you are A) Rich, B) Your parents are famous or C) you've got the best pair of -
Shoes, geez people get your mind out of the gutter
"No parties until I see both your grades improve, you can find other ways to socialise, but you know we don't approve of underage drinking! And maybe now we're here Claire, you might dye your hair back to its natural colour, that blue is really not gonna help you fit in."
If you haven't noticed, my mother is the kind of person that needs things a certain way, or she'll give up on it. Or just forcefully make it perfect, which never turns out well.
It usually requires moving to a house 13 hours away from your previous one.
"Really Mother, I thought midnight blue fading into snow white would blend right in," I told her sarcastically " I will not be dying my hair back because you don't like it. We won't be removing any piercings either, right minx?"
(Although we have dyed hair and belly button piercings, we're pretty much good girls, never skipped class, only ever gone to a few parties but never got drunk or slept with anyone.)
It was as if she was doing a battle cry "YEAH!"
"Minx, shut up." I said monotonously
"But you-" She looked defeated in some way, it was making me sad." "I'm sorry, please forgive me. I'll give you cookies." I pouted. She glowered at me. "You don't even have any cookies, do you?"
"This is why I love you!" I exclaimed, beaming at her and resting my head on her shoulder
"Not because I'm your sister? Only because I can tell when you're lying?" She mumbled
"Yep."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We pulled up outside some mansion. It was huge. I got out of the car, completely awestruck. It was like those stereotypical mansions, with massive double doors, a long staircase that leads onto two more going in opposite directions and one continuing up. The floors were marble, the living room was massive, with soft leather couches, and a big TV.
The bedroom Minx and I chose was amazingly big, it could house 6 people never mind 2. But that's not the reason we chose it.
Number 1 is because you can pull back the built in bookcase and it leads into a video game room with installed Xbox and Playstation and Wii but no one really uses Wii anymore, and it had beanbags and surround sound.
Number 2 is because there was a massive window with a window seat, and on the other side of that window was another persons bedroom, and in that bedroom there was a Greek god, playing Xbox.
"Whose he?" I asked Minx, nodding my head towards the window, where the guy with jet black hair and piercings and tattoos would occasionally glance in my direction, but completely ignoring us otherwise.
"Never mind that, whose his friend?" She said, staring at the guy with the curly hair and boyish grin, as he waved at us before joining his friend at the gaming station.
Why did I have this feeling that my world was about to change?
And not in a good way?Minx's POV
I was sad to leave my hometown I had my friends that were like me, and my wonderful school. But now I have a reason to be happy. The boy next door. Me being a social butterfly yet socially awkward I ran to my suitcase and grabbed my black skinnies galaxy converse, grabbed my galaxy phone case and grabbed nerd glasses and my flower head band and last my Muse sweater. I told Claire to change so she did and I grabbed her hand, and ran up to my mum.
Me: Mum... Can we go say hi to the nebighors??
Gabby (Mum): Yes. But be safe.
Carlos (Dad): Please girls be safe I love you.
Claire: We will be.
Me: Love you!!
Claire and I ran to the boys house and knocked on the door I was leaning on the door when it flung open. I was ready to fall when someone caught me.
??: Umm... Hi??
Me: I'm so sorry.
??: Oh I'm PJ.
Me: Hi gorgeous... I mean hi I'm Minx. Nice one you idiot.
PJ laughed at my awkwardness.
PJ: Chris!! Come meet the nebigours!!
Chris: Hey Ladies. I'm Chris!!
Claire: I'm Claire and this is Minx.
Wow. I feel awkward what do I do.
Minx: Umm... Well bye, we have to unpack then we are gonna ride our penny boards.
PJ: Okay. Bye.
Claire: Bye.
Chris: Bye.
Claire and I were walking back when this guy with brown hair hazel eyes, and might I say lots of tattoos, and one ear piercing. On his right ear. He bumped into me on purpose.
Me: Excuse you. You arse!!
He looked back and gave me a death glare. Wow what an arse.
