I've always felt like I'm not enough. There's moments where I have wanted to quit hockey because of the little things, but it's too late to quit. I have achieved my dream after many years of sacrifices.
After I got selected to play for the Edmonton Oil Kings I knew it was the start of something new and I had my doubts. After all I was a girl playing in the WHL. And I didn't do terrible throughout my seasons. I was scoring and assisting almost every game and I was only 15 years old.
I did two seasons in the dub and then I went into the NHL draft where I was selected by the Chicago Blackhawks in the second round.
People had controversial opinions about me going to play in the show, there was nothing but comments about how I won't last a game and that I'll get blown up. But I will prove them all wrong, hopefully.
I can prove that I have what it takes, and we'll find out if I do tomorrow at the first practice with my new team, in new colours.
