Along the Red Sea
1947
Four year old Emily struggled, in the half collapsed ancient chamber. The tomb had collapsed suddenly - trapping her in a small air pocket.
But the waves of the nearby Red Sea were creeping inward as the tide rose. The salt water burned her injured face. The pain and being trapped in the half collapsed small dark space made her scared and mad. She was the daughter of Indiana Jones! She could escape anything - her daddy had made certain of it.
With all her mother's looks and fury Emily fought the slapping waves and the scratchy pounding quicksand which was trying to swallow her.
The water's force knocked more rocks loose, as they narrowly missed her small trapped frame.
She gulped at the air remaining in the small chamber then screamed.
At four years old - it was all she could do.
