Chapter 16

Tiana's POV

        "We should um get some sleep hm?", I ask as I look at him, can I really bring my human mind to love him... I don't know. "Do you maybe, want to watch a movie... Up in my room. Nothing will happen! I promise." Jackson asks me with a small smile. "Your pinky promises?" I ask him with my pinky out, this was a test. We did this as kids, and he always kept them. He interlocks his pinky with mine. "Pinky promise" he says, his face a light pink. I smile at this, maybe he hasn't changed after all.

       "Alright then, we can watch a movie.", I tell him with a smile. With a large smile, he takes my hand and leads me up to his room both of us a giggling mess. He lets me inside and looks at the door, he smiles and leaves it open just enough for people to see inside but know not to bother. "There, so you know I mean it.", I can't help but giggle at him as I slide back onto his bed. "How about you pick the movie. What were you thinking?" I ask him. He fidgets with his fingers and looks at me "I was thinking we could watch The Notebook?" I can't help but light up "Yes!"

       I get into the spot on the bed he typically doesn't sleep on, and I get snuggled up and comfy. "I didn't know you liked The Notebook?", I say with a smile. "Oh! I love The Notebook. I just don't tell people I do.", he smiles at me. "I'm probably going to cry, I hope you know that.", I tell him. "It's okay, I cry too" he says as he slips his shoes off and snuggles in next to me. "Ready?" he says with the remote in hand. "Um, duh." I look at him with the look I tend to give people when they ask me stupid questions. "Don't look at me like that, cutie." he says patting my head, and he starts the movie.

       The movie goes on, and slowly they start snuggling closer together. They get close enough and Tiana eases her way, laying her head on Jackson's chest. Eventually they are holding each other, crying to the movie. Jackson included.

       "You're still crying! Jackson...", I giggle at his pouting. "I told you...", he says looking up at the ceiling. "Come here, you big baby", I sit up just enough so I can balance. Jackson looks down at me, still pouting. I reach my hands up and gently wipe his tears. "There you go, all better.", I say as I squish his cheeks. "Hey! Cut that out!", he says giggling as he grabs my hands. "Why, you have the perfect cheeks to just smoosh.", I say puffing out my cheeks at him. "No, I do not! You do!", he says grabbing my cheeks with one hand.

       "Hey, let me go.", I say giggling. He smiles and let's go of my face, placing a kiss on my forehead and I feel Persephony get giddy. I smile and place a soft kiss on his cheek, and I snuggle back down next to him. Soon enough, I feel myself fighting sleep. I feel Jackson run his fingers through my hair and I can't help the hum that escapes my lips. "You keep doing that and I'm going to fall asleep." I warn him. "Then sleep beautiful." I hear him say as he continues to play with my hair. Just like I warned him, I drift off into sleep. Feeling safe for the first time in days.

       With Tiana falling asleep in Jackson's arms, he couldn't help but smile. Wrapping his arms around her, he can't help but feel happy and loved. He slowly drifts off into sleep, sleep he hasn't had in days.

Chapter 17

Jackson's POV

       I wake up to my arm wrapped around Tiana's hips, both of us facing the wall. Slowly I move my arm, and carefully I get up to get ready. I hear her moving as I'm changing into more formal wear. I finish getting dressed and as I walk out of my closet, and I see my beautiful luna looking at me from under the covers. "Hello beautiful, how did you sleep?", she hums snuggling under the covers more.

       "Hi handsome." she says as she sits up and stretches. "I slept great for the first time in weeks." she says as she looks at me with her adorable doe eyes. "Your mom brought some clothes up for you. A few dresses, some normal clothes. They are in the closet, okay?" I tell her as I sit on the foot of my bed. "Okay" she says as she slides out of bed, and I notice she changed into one of my shirts. "Is that mine?" I say with a grin pointing at my shirt.

       "Yes, what you gonna do about it?", she says as she goes into the closet. "Not a damn thing, it looks good on you.", I say to her as I slip my shoes on. I wait for her at the door, and I worry my jaw hit the floor as she walks out of the closet. Tiana is dressed in tight white jeans, and a black boots that go up to her knees. "You look...", I can hardly get the words out. "I look what?", she asks me as she pulls her hair up into a ponytail. "You look stunning, absolutely stunning.", I say walking over to her.

       She smiles, "Well, thank you Jackson.", she says looking up at me. "You're welcome beautiful", I say looking down at her. "You don't have to look at my lips if you want a kiss, Jackson. Just ask me.", she tells me with a grin, and I feel my face go red. "I um, well.", I rub the back of my neck. Ah, fuck it, I gently grab her and pull her close by her hips. "May I have a kiss then beautiful."

       I ask her and she presses a soft kiss on my lips, and the world stops turning. When she pulls away, I can't help but smile. "Thank you love.", I tell her. "You're welcome handsome.", she tells me as she walks out the door, dragging her nails over my chest and I feel a shiver go up my spine. Yes! I follow close behind her. I stop Tiana at the door to my office. "You sure you can't just sit in my office with me.", I pull her into me by her hips. "Please stay here with me, just for a little while.", she grins and softly places her hands on my chest.

        "Jackson. You know I have training with the pack doctor soon." she says as she softly snuggles into my chest, and I hear Venom howl happily as my heart skips a beat. "Come on, just for a little while.", I gently make her look at me. "She can't yell at you, you're the luna."

She shakes her head, and my smile drops a little. "I'm not the luna yet, I won't be luna until you can prove that you are the same man I used to know.", she says with a smile. "Until then, I'm just your mate. So, no I can't sit in your office with you. I will give you a kiss though.", she says as she wraps her arms around my neck. "Fine.", I say placing a gentle kiss on her lips, which she returns and looks up at me. "I'll sit with you tomorrow though.", she smiles and places a kiss on my cheek. "I promise", she says before walking down the stairs. By the goddess I'm the luckiest wolf in the world, I step into my office.
