"You serious right now? "
"Why not?" Shin laughed, their eyes both were scanning the red string on his palm, Y/N; Not really knowing why this man went through that huge crowd earlier for a mere string gave him a puzzled look.
"What's this for anyway? " She asked with her pointing at the said item.
"This? This, my lovely student is the red string of fate."
Giving him a plain look, Y/N then furrowed her eyebrows, not really understanding what it meant and Shin seeing her confused state could only smile and took her hand in his.
"Legend has it, there's an invisible string in this world--"
"So it's not true--"
"Do not interrupt me. "
She snickered when the offended look on his face was so priceless.
"Going back. That legend said; that the invisible red string is what connects us to the person we're destined to meet, regardless the time , place and circumstances, the string won't waver nor break. So looks like something that connects us to our soulmate, right? "
Y/N nodded. "But you said the string was invisible-- why buy this? "
"Ignore the small details, Y/N-- C'mon. " He whined like a child and she smiled, Shin tonight was indeed not acting like a formal teacher, it felt like a guy actually taking her on a da--
"You two! Hurry up and stand on the stage already! "
The two whipped their heads when a man went to them, the scowl on his face was evident and he was holding a stick.
Before the two could ask what he meant, two ladies in yukatas already started dragging them to a tent .
"Wait--! What's this all about?! " Y/N asked the woman who pulled something inside the room and her eyes went wide upon seeing the familiar attire.
"We don't have much time, Miss.. We're sorry for the delay the dress arrived late. "
"Wait! You got the wrong--"
It was too late.
Before the girls could put the white headdress on her, she dashed away from the tent, the people looking at her in awe when they saw her attire; The traditional wedding attire of Japan a Shiromuku, the women who were trying to look for her started calling for her but she clicked her tongue and ran off , hoping to find Shin through the crowd of people tonight on the festival.
She went to somewhere private, less people and she panted, the kimono was heavy and hot as she was about to take it off, a hand went to wrap around her wrist making her stop and spinning her around, she prepared her elbow but stopped when she saw her supposed date tonight wearing a..
Black montsuki kimono and a hakama, his hair was neatly combed, a smile on his face and he was beaming.
"You're enjoying this?! "
"Why not? We're getting marri-- Look at you! You look good in that shiromoku. "
She sighed in exasperation and rubbed her temples-- her annoyance only made Shin's smile wider but he wasn't lying when he said the dress looked good on her but that was when he noticed how bothered she was.
"Is it hot? "
"It is! My clothes are still in here and this thick clothing is--"
"Fine, let's take that off and return it.." He smiled and gave her head two pats. Y/N looked at him and gave him a nod that was until Shin smiled again.
