One month had passed since Leanna joined Blazing Sun pack. She wasn't an official member, but people definitely treated her like one.

Her skills have been very useful, and her nice personality was just like icing to the cake. Walter was also quiet pleased with her work.

Overall she was doing an amazing job.

She also got the chance to be introduced to Ashton's older brother, Royce and his mate. The couple were next in line to rule the pack.

Royce was kind, quite opposite to his dad. He wasn't very demanding, and was easy to approach. He was a perfect mixture of sweet and salty.

Meanwhile, Leanna and Ashton became the bestest of friends. They were inseperable. Put them together in a room, and it was chaos waiting to unravel.

Leanna had slowly started to open up her past. Bit by bit, Ashton was gaining her trust, making her spill out fraction of details she never thought she would speak about ever again.

She told him about her life at the homolone. She also blurted out the fact that she used to live in a pack, but she was never able to open up about why she left.

...or perhaps she should say kicked out.

Ashton being the refined man that he was, never questioned Leanna because he knew it was a chapter she wasn't ready to open.

Presently, Leanna was doing her daily routine. She was at the infirmary, sorting out the messy medical equipment when an intruder knocks inside.

"Hey, come outside with me. We can enjoy the weather." It was Ashton, practically vibrating with excitement as he revealed his pure white teeth.

Leanna turned to look outside. The weather was nothing out of the ordinary, but she agreed to go with him.

No day is a normal day with Ashton Hart. His presence always fills the space like a hurricane, stewing to suck everything in the riot of it's fun.

"I hope you are not skipping out on your work." Leanna asked, spikes of concern prickling over her awared skin.

"Don't worry, I finished everything." Ashton spoke in a calm tone, that was wrapped in the sunshine of his grin. "I know dad won't forgive me for skipping work even for one day."

Leanna relaxed in her posture, and soon they were out beneath the wide sky above. There was a burst of excitement in the rays of the sun, clouds flying high on spontaneity.

Ashton and Leanna made their way to a nearby bench, sitting on it and enjoying the peace that solitude brought.

The warm wind draps against the trees like a gold frame, pouring out it's sparks into the empty leaves. The silver lining of the clouds peeked out like shine of twilight

Ashton and Leanna were silent, but there was no awkwardness. It felt like they were soaking in the moment, taking the utility. That was until Leanna spoke, breaking the silence.

"Do you think about your mate Ashton? I am sure you must be looking for her." Leanna asked, her curiousity suddenly sparking.

Ashton's mate will be very lucky. She thought to herself.

"Yeah, I think about her everyday." Ashton said, as his gaze strayed to their uncovered surroundings, a wistful look breathing down his face.

"She must be really special, considering I still haven't found her." A dry chuckle escaped from his mouth, as he faces the bitter reality.

When he turned of age, he eagerly started to look for his mate. But after years of looking, and no finding, he had lost almost all hope.

Leanna's heart picked up it's pace when Ashton expressed his emotions, and she fragilly tried to assure him
