"Sunny, you know how hard it is for me to say goodbye to you, even though I say it every day." I looked at the clouds beneath my feet. Sunny and I were swinging on a swing set in the sky. She started to drag her feet on the clouds, creating a swirl of fluffy rain beneath her, as soon as she came to a halt, she hopped off her swing. I glanced past Sunny and saw the dangerous storm that she was warning me about for the past few days. It seemed that it was getting closer, the black clouds and lightning were erringly growing. She told me it was a different kind of storm, but she wouldn't go into the details that I wanted.

I looked back to Sunny. The clouds that were around us were starting to turn from yellow to a dark grey; every time she was changing her feelings, they also changed color. It was like they fed off of her emotion, she was sad.

Sunny turned around, watching me swing back and forth, steadily slowing down. She said to me with a painful expression on her face, "Alec, I know it's hard, but you know that it is time for you to go. You can't stay here with me forever. You won't be able to save me from the cloud. One day you're going to fall asleep and I will no longer be in your dreams. "

I started to drag my feet on the ground till I was at a standstill. "No, I won't, I never want to leave your side. I never want to wake up." Sunny chuckled softly and walked up to me and gently put her hand on my cheek.

"Don't worry; you will see me again tomorrow. I promise." Sunny smiled at me sadly. She took her hand of my cheek and started backing away from me; eventually she disappeared into the grey clouds.

"SUNNY!" I stretched out my hand for her but it was too late. I felt like I was falling into a black hole. I was falling back into reality.

I woke up screaming her name. The alarm clock on my bedside table was playing the song of its people. I rubbed my eyes, turned off my alarm, and sat up. Seven o'clock on a Monday morning. I had a half hour to get ready before Aaron shows up. I hopped in the shower and immediately started thinking about Sunny. I can't stop thinking about her. I have known her for a short period of time, a few weeks, and she is already taken over my mind. When she visits me in my dreams, she always seems so afraid of the storm, it's like she is trying to run away from it. I don't know why she just doesn't make it go away, I mean, she is the one that is doing all the crazy things in my dreams. She does the craziest things in my dreams. One time she made me fly around Paris like superman and she can make anything appear out of thin air.

I finished in the shower and got out, wrapping a towel around myself. I put on my clothes and went downstairs for some breakfast.

"Morning." I smiled at her and grabbed a plate. I helped myself to some bacon, eggs, and toast. I sat down and started to mow down the delicious food.

"Good morning Sweetie." She said as she kissed me on top of my head. Gross. "Do you have any plans for after school?" She asked me.

"I don't think so." I was hoping she would say "okay" and let the subject drop, but she didn't.

"Well, that's good I guess. I invited the Daze family over for supper and I expect you to be here on time."

"But Mom-"

"No, you are coming to this dinner and that's final."

I grudgingly wiped my mouth and put my plate in the sink. I wonder why she invited the Dazes' in the first place. "I got to go; Aaron is probably waiting for me in the driveway."

"Well, be home early so you can help prepare dinner." She said as I walked out the door.

"Was your mom trying to get you to cancel our afterschool plans again?" Aaron asked me.
