As we step into Max's room, the banter continues, and we see Daniel, Mick, Lando, Oscar, and Carlos already sitting around Max's gaming system, crowding around Lando as he plays Call of Duty.

Oscar stands up and comes in to hug me. His warm embrace adds to the sense of camaraderie in the room. "Miah, great to see you! It's been too long."

I go in for a hug, "You too, Oscar. How's everything going?"

Oscar continues to smile, "All good, just trying not to get too destroyed in this game by Lando here."

We share a laugh, and as I look around the room, I can feel the energy building up for a fantastic night. The familiar faces, the banter, and the shared camaraderie make Max's room feel like a hub of friendship and excitement. As we settle in, little did we know that the night would unfold with more laughter, surprises, and cherished moments among friends.

By the time we were ready to go for pizza, as Daniel wanted, we jumped into two cars to make it easier for us to have more room. George and Carmen joined Max, Daniel, and me, while the other three had their fair share of fun in the other car with Mick.

I couldn't help but question the wisdom of letting Daniel and Max drive. The memory of their literal race against each other in downtown Vegas a few years back flashed in my mind. It was insane to watch from the window of Mick and my hotel room.

"Hey Dani, are you sure you want to drive? Last time, you and Max had a Fast and the Furious car race in literal downtown Vegas," I questioned him while holding onto my seat belt for comfort.

Daniel chuckles, glancing at Max who smirks in response.

Daniel grinning, "Come on, Miah, that was ages ago. We're responsible adults now. Mostly."

Max nodding and agreeing to Daniel, "Yeah, mostly."

I give them a skeptical look but decide to trust that they've learned their lesson from the Vegas escapade. As we hit the road, the banter and laughter continue, and the prospect of pizza and more adventures with this group of friends makes the evening even more promising.

We all sit down in a big group together once we step into the pizza joint and order our food. Most of us got pizza while Oliver and Denis stuck to their original chicken tenders and fries.

"So what movie are we going to see anyway?" I ask, curious about our movie night choice.

Daniel, being the movie enthusiast he is, suggests, "Well, there are a few Marvel movies out in theaters right now, or we can watch Fast X: Part 2."

The suggestion of Fast X immediately sparks excitement, but some of us express interest in the Marvel movies.

"Well, why don't we watch a Marvel movie and then head back to Max's hotel?" Oliver suggests.

Max, raising an eyebrow, interjects, "Wait! Why always my room?"

Dennis, with a deadpan expression, responds, "Because you have the bigger room, mate. Be so fucking for real right now."

We all burst into laughter at Dennis' Gen Z reference, appreciating the humor. The decision-making process for our movie night becomes a democratic yet playful exchange, showcasing the unique dynamics within our group of friends. The banter continues, and the night unfolds with the promise of laughter, movies, and shared moments in the company of good friends.

Daniel, leaning forward "Alright, so we've got a choice between Marvel movies or Fast X: Part 2. Any strong preferences?"

Carmen, grinning "I'm up for some Marvel action. It's been a while since I've seen a superhero flick."
