CHAPTER 41
"BLONDE IDIOT"

[real life]

"matt go help her! she's going to end up breaking a bone!" chris whispers to matt as he skates by making his way towards layla who was putting on her ice skates at the entrance.

matt ignores chris as he watches melina hold on tightly to the railing on the wall. she was wobbling around trying to keep her balance. it was kind of hilarious.

when marylou and jimmy insisted on everyone going ice skating today, they all happily agreed since almost everyone knew how to skate. matt thought he was going to be bored the whole time, he didn't think it would be this entertaining.

he laughs when she lets out a small shriek of fear when she took a step forward and slipped falling down onto the ice.

when melina makes contact with the ground, she slams her hands down in annoyance as she feels her fingers go cold. quickly, she sits up letting out a sigh, grabbing her beanie that flew off and placing it back on her head. not even falling on her face could gain matt's attention.

melina goes to pull herself up with the railing until she hears a pair of skates heading towards her. she was hoping it was izzy, it would make the fall less embarrassing. melina looks to the side and her eyes widened slightly when she saw izzy was sitting with madi outside of the rink, laughing at her.

she sends them a glare, giving them the finger turning to face matt. she knew it was him because he let out a quiet laugh when she was hunched over. he was wearing his black ransom hoodie, and jeans with his keys hanging from the hook.

his hair was covered by a white beanie that had a small pom pom on top. he had it covered with the hood from his sweater. when she looks up at his face, he clears his throat looking down. melina smiles, noticing his cheeks and nose were pink because of how cold it was inside, matching her features as well.

melina goes back to holding onto the railing not saying anything. looking away from him, she continues making her way around the rink. she was hoping that matt would offer his help to her. instead he stays at her side skating around her freely.

"show off." melina mutters under her breath while matt crosses his arms facing her again. "let go of the railing, melina." he says making her eyes widen slightly. oh my god is he finally talking to me again? melina thinks upon hearing his voice, almost making her slip again. still, she manages to keep her composure.
