He became someone I don't know anymore. The first words flashed like lightning when I saw his unfamiliar eyes.

On that stormy night of November 10, 2018, I began the darkness that consumed my entire being.

Time: 10:00 pm

Place: Plaza de Saint Florine, Venier.

I run like a madwoman trying to chase the time. I've had to overworked for my proposal the following day because our boss didn't like my previous project plans and now that I've run out of seconds, I'm chasing it. I don't want to be late on our third anniversary as a couple.

I hailed a few taxis, but none of them stopped. My eyes gazed at the seats; they were all fully occupied. A few minutes passed, and I was still stuck in my current place. I looked at my watch then I decided.

"No matter what I don't want to see him cry again like last time when I was late at our anniversary," I whispered and looked in front as if my life had been depended on the road.

I saw a light flash through my eyes, even on this cold night. I went to the middle of the road, stretched both of my arms, and closed my eyes. I knew this would be risky, but it's a risk I'm taking when it comes to Ezekiel.

But I never thought that doing so would make me fall to the ground, accompanied by vague vision. Just when I tried to look in front, I saw two men, one was worried about bending down and asked me questions I couldn't understand, and the second man was looking at me with eyes like I'm a fly.

His eyes narrowed down to me like a snake trying to kill its predator before it escaped. He neither helped the man kneeling with trembling hands because his hands were inside of his pockets.

The last words from this man became clearer even though my consciousness was fading away.

"Take her to the hospital Zach, I have no time for insignificant things..."

I opened my eyes to see an unfamiliar sight, a place I'd never thought I would be.

"Seline, thank goodness, you're finally awake!" But a familiar voice and warmth covered my whole being erasing every bit of shiver my body would start to have.

"Kiel?" I asked. I caressed his back with my hands. I felt him breathing unevenly when he let go of the hug first and faced me.

I felt his hands tremble when they gripped my shoulders. Yet, I smiled.

"What exactly happened to you? You've been like this for the past years since our anniversary, Seline, first if you're not late, you will have a fever, then if not fever, you will see your friends from high school, and you'll forget about our anniversary. But this time?" He paused.

I wanted to chuckle, but I kept my mouth shut.

When I looked at his expression, I couldn't help but grip both lips tightly.

He had these creased eyebrows and eyes that looked like his world was going to end just by having to look at our situation in this place.

It sucks but I have to admit it, our third anniversary ended us here in this hospital.

"You've been nearly hit by a car! For goodness' sake Seline, if the man weren't able to call me by an emergency phone call, I wouldn't know what would have happened to you!"
