Jay

He sped off from the rink, almost crashing into another truck that was passing by. He was so mad that he didn't even notice the guy driving the truck honking the horn at him.

He didn't understand why he continued to fool himself into thinking his relationship with Beyoncé was anything other than what it was. He was there to give her dick whenever her husband wasn't around, that was it.

Even though he knew that, he didn't understand how sex could turn into endless conversations and learning every aspect of each other. He'd look into her eyes after hours of them just talking and see what he thought was something more, but she constantly reminded him that he was an urge she couldn't resist. Nothing more, nothing less.

It seemed all the women he had grown attached to one way or another never reciprocated those feelings. After a while, he stopped trying to find what about him wasn't worthy of love, and instead chose to live the life of a single bachelor. The countless women he would entertain were enough to satisfy him, until he met her.

Jay sighed, cursing himself for not being able to get her out of his head. At this point he had been driving aimlessly around downtown LA. He had no plans of going anywhere but he knew he didn't want to go home where he would only be reminded of his solitude.

He reached for his phone, calling the one person he knew could get him out of the funk he was in. The phone rang a few times before Ye picked up.

"Yo!" He answered.

"Wassup? Where are you?"

"I'm with the boys at Fusion. Why what's the move?" As soon as he said that, Jay suddenly heard the loud sounds of a night club. Fusion was 10 minute drive from where he was at max. He could definitely make an appearance.

"Word? I'm trying to pop out. I'm on my way."

"Oh shit, Hov making a stop out here? Nah pigs must be flying." Ye laughed, obviously intoxicated from whatever he'd been sipping on.

"Whatever nigga, be on the lookout for me in the section." He hung up without another word.

He realized he was going in the wrong direction and made a quick u-turn, pissing a few other drivers off.

It didn't take him long to be walking in the dark club. The latest song from Lil Baby blasted through the speakers as he maneuvered through the large crowd.

He felt the eyes of a few women following him as he moved through the small walkway. He could tell they were sizing him up to see if they should take their shot at him. Lucky for them, he was looking for one or two distractions tonight.

He quickly found the section Ye and the rest his friends were currently in.

"Aye what this nigga Jay doing here!" His friend Ty noticed him first.

Ty had been his best friend for the longest time. Besides Ye, Jay could talk to Ty about anything, except for his recent situation. Ty was his more responsible friend who would not hesitate to tell Jay when he was wrong. He was actually surprised Ty was out himself, considering he had a wife and a newborn at home.

"What you doing out here? Shouldn't you be changing diapers or some shit?" Jay laughed, dapping Ty up before fixing himself a shot of Don Julio.

"Nigga shut up, I needed a break from that shit. Mya know wassup." Ty shrugged his shoulders.

"Yeah whatever."

Jay turned to his other friends. He acknowledged Emory, Nas, Lenny, and Jay Brown. He looked around for Ye. He saw him currently enjoying the company of a woman he wasn't familiar with.
